Well, well, well, looks like one more week is finished.

A suprising turn-out for a front wheel drive race.
Good job all of you guys. 👍
I took a lap at the begining of the week, ran with no idea times could be that fast. :D

The overall winner is missing link.

Scuderia229,
Told you that promotion I put you through was not a bad idea. ;)
You earned yourself a division win in div 2, what's next div 1?

Darin,
That is just plan fast, I really didn't expect to see div 3 go below 2'00.000
Good job. 👍

Later. :D

Hi All.
Good racing this week, lots of diversity in car choices.
Congrats to all div winners.
I will try to get my replay up tomorrow.

Later,
cinjun8

Here is the replay of the lap I submitted (Lupo Cup Car).
@ Heero : at 2'46 it has to be a stock Mini. I had saved a 2'15 clean lap in a full modded Mini just in case I wouldn't have managed anything else with another car.

Yes, 61 HP with 11.xxx pwr, was that a bad lap for that car? OH well, at least I got another keychain now:D  I'll get serious this week, need to start crankin' out good times if I want to get some trophies.

Huh! Never won Div 2....won alot of Div 3 races and have had a 3rd and 2nd in Div 2...nice.

I so desperately wanted to submit a 1'59.xxx lap for my final time. I had a 1'59.878 that I thought was it on Thursday but then when i looked at the replay the ass end of my beetle tapped the wall on the outside of the chicane after turn 1. Never again did I hit a sub 2'00 time. I had LOTS of 2'00.0xx - 2'00.1xxs but nothing faster...uggh. I sat down Sunday night and last night hoping I could do a last minute lap and couldn't get the beetle to anything sub 2'02, I guess my heart wasn't in it anymore....who knows. I loved this race.

I tried a ton of cars. I wanted to make either the Fiat of the 206 road car work. I couldn't get either under 2'01.5xx so I moved onto the VWs, the Lupo had a much better feel than the beetle but the grunt of the bettle helped on the two straights. Best I did with the Lupo was 2'01.9xx'ish.

Nice race GoKents...want to see more like this one.

I'll have my replay up tonight when I get home from the studio. For once it sorta matters, so I'll post it.

Congrats to the winners.

And thanks to Kent and competitors for once again providing an interesting race.

Great times everyone, Missing link, very quick dude, nice.

Well i had nothing but confusion in this race, which then led to my times being question.... i had power to weight all messed up hence the quick t3. The time i submitted in the fto was pretty slow, and i have no proof of that time, but im saving replays now.

Kents asked for setup details etc of the time i submitted, which im all happy to do, to just clarify driver ability, make sure im not doing the dodgey....all good mate.. so i thought i would re race it and submit a new time outside the competition just to confirm that i am a legit racer...

Car chosen - Beetle Cup car
Power/weight - 3.038

Full suspension gearbox etc.
Stage one lightweight reduct

Engine: Only stage 3 n/a and Racing exhaust air

Which got me up to 385bhp.

t1 - 25.641
t2 - 51.359
t3- 1'32.653

final time - 1'58.656

I have a fairlywatchable xvid(its pretty crap actually,hahaha)
... recorded on my digicam, its was in about 5 parts cause my cam only records 20 sec at a time, can see all the splits etc...
Its pretty dodgey, sound out of sync , woops, but hopefully it shows somethin,
need a bloody x-port. So dload if you want to have a squiz. Its 12mb...sorrrry kents, lol.

Cheers dudes

Um yeah, wsssup...

Not to pick, as I am sure this sort of problem will never happen again...

But.

Do you have your replay for this lap?
If so, analyzer data might do more for you than several short clips.

First off, a video of the entire race might be of some help, but even then there is no way to verify what power you were running during the lap.

Also, with only clips, it would be quite easy to not have the "important parts" of the lap on video.

The short of it...
That video is a good jesture, but not an acceptable means of confirmation.
Coupled with analyzer data, that video would be an excellent means to confirm a lap.

(for the time being... but the only really good means of doing so would be an xport.)

The next matter at hand would be your lap and data.

I asked you for the lap you turned in.
Kents asked for setup details etc of the time i submitted, which im all happy to do, to just clarify driver ability, make sure im not doing the dodgey....all good mate.. so i thought i would re race it and submit a new time outside the competition just to confirm that i am a legit racer...

You have now supplied 3 different laps with 3 different cars all for this one race, and each has only been provided when I asked you to give me data on the one before.

Integra type r, fto gpr, beetle cup car... all three of those laps have now been submitted, but not a single one had the analyzer data to compliment the run.

I am not worried about this race any more.
There will be more races in the future.

However, remember this...

Save your replays.
Be careful to run the specific race specs.
Always expect to confirm your lap time.

Good luck next week, and have fun. :D

I just missed the podium in Div. 2 by less than .1 of a second. :D All I need to do now is to try harder.;)

Im doing my best here, to get you what you need kents.... Ive sent you my analyzer data, what this tells you i have no idea...

I understand you must get a few cheats wallriding big time, etc posting super quick times.....
Only times i have posted are realistic, but some of my times seem to be too quick for my division i guess...

Millions are playing gt3, and many will never get on this cool forum and compete, but they will be getting quicker times than some of the division 1 racers.....

Good luck in the next few races, might sit on the sideline for a bit.

I suggest the very opposite.

Stick with us for next week, submit your final time and analyzer data at the same time.

That will end all of this instantly.

As for cheats, wall riding, super fast times and analyzer data... :D
You can tell if someone is cheating because 2 laps with similar times will have similar times in all sections.
This makes it possible to figure out if a person was using a wall or cutting corners (that is, if you know what to look for).

You have worked with me on this subject and you will recieve the respect you deserve once this is all over.

However, if you just drop out and give up... :irked:
That would just suck.
I like seeing as many racers as possible each week.

Just leave week 67 in the past.
It is too late to work on that.
I don't have your original laps, you don't have them, there is nothing we can do...

Well, except one thing...

Hold out for one more week.
Run with us, earn your respect, it will be worth it. 👍

Hope to see you in the week 68 results,
-

WSSSUP - (third party perspective here) Some people here do get their panties in a bunch when someone unknown shows up and posts fast times. Some of it is feeling threatened I am sure...but most of it is that most of these guys know/trust each other and know that their submitted times are above the board. Most of them/us have proven our times and laps over and over and over. It is the nature or "online racing" I think, there are so many unknowns about what people are and aren't doing. Unfortunately the only way to prove anything is with logger data (which we ALL have on our saved laps) or buy an xport. I am not saying you cheat...but making a little speech, taunting those accusing you and then backing out of the upcoming weeks does smell like a ***** thing to do to me. But hey that is just me, I'm with GoKents, i hope you show up and beat everyone in the coming weeks WITH logger data. Otherwise who knows. I guess here once accused it is up to YOU and ONLY YOU to prove your own innocence, once you do though you are golden.

Logger data from saved laps isn't THAT hard to get...not saving your submitted laps is just bloody dumb.

In the interest of proving times, etc etc....below is my winning lap from div2...if anyone actually views it and it isn't the correct time I posted let me know and I will get the correct one. I have multiple laps saved and am never sure with the crappy xport software interface if I have the right one or not....

I will just pretend last weeks race never happened, and ive prolly made kents sick of reading his pm's, sorry bro.

I will enter this weeks race, where everything will be handed in..
Thnx again Kents for understanding my dribble, and for explaining a few things for me...

Adz:)

Given the xps (or sps) file, there is an easy way to know what's the best time in the file : open it with MK's program and read the status line.
Yours says : FreeRun Total Time : 4'00.586 Best Lap : 2'00.088.
So your posted replay is really the one with the lap your submitted (and you ran 2 laps in that session).
Nice job by the way.

huh! That is cool....I use MKS to change around garages and such and check car settings from other laps...I guess I never considered it could do that...

cool!

Or you can use Arwins Replay Manager, which I find even more useful for the purpose.
You get an overview of all your replays in the selected directory. You can see the tracks, times, cars end the comments you made , when you saved. And with a click of the mouse, you can change the name of the file to something meaningful and recognizable.
Great program. 👍

You're really incredible, daan !!!
While reading NielsG's post I was wondering where this damn Replay Manager could be... The answer was already posted before I could even ask the question...
Telepathy perhaps ???
:D

I didn't expect a win. I thought Wsssp and Neil's woulda took me from the start by quite some second. I thought my my TRD Celica was slow. I guess I underestimated it.

Why, thank you kind sir.

I read NielsG's post and noticed he hadn't mentioned where to get it, so I just posted a link to help you (and others) find it.

I downloaded all required Micros**t stuff plus the zip file, installed it, and I'm now busy trying to put some order in all my saves : licences, hot laps, time trials...

@ Darin : I must disagree with you, look at your time. You didn't underestimate the TRD, you underestimated yourself.

Oh. I guess I really didn't see myself as a good driver. but i'm not gonna get that through my head, i'll continue to race.
