The Car: Fully Modified Altezza LM (super soft tires, full power, all that stuff ;) )

The Track: Complex String

The Race: Arcade Mode : Free Run : Best Single Lap Time

The Rules:

1. You must have 2 tires on the track at all times.
2. The rumble strips are considered part of the track.
3. No wall riding or touching.
4. No cutting the grass or short cutting.
5. No hybrids
6. No cheating of any kind.

Time Discussion: All "T" Times.

The deadline: All Times Due before 00.00hrs Central Standard Time (New Orleans, Louisiana, America), Tuesday the 3rd. (Same as 06.00hrs London. Tuesday the 3rd.)

I don't get home for another 5 hours but this looks more promising than last week. The Altezza LM though - is that a normal car or the race car? I can't recall if I own either...
 
It's a race car. It only exists in grey with small parts (mirrors, wheels) that can be red, blue, yellow or black. (See attached pic).

This should be interesting, but I doubt I will get anything fast in.
 
When finishing GT3 with the TT at complex, I made the vow to never race here again. :yuck: Sorry, but I have to chicken out on this one. Have fun.

I started with that TT. It took a couple of hours, but it was worth it.

That's actually a FAR more interesting question that it might look on the face of it.

Although the car we're using is indeed the race-bodied Toyota Altezza LM, GT3 actually classes the car as a road car - try entering it in the Formula GT Championship to see what I mean.

So there you go - a fascinating little piece of GT3 Trivia.
 
Whilst I didn't know that, that's in essence why I was confused, because I thought I remembered it being a race car, however that's not exactly something you'd use for a Family Road Trip. Thanks for the clarification Famine.

I'm actually really looking forward to this one, it's gonna be fun.
 
Ive got thursday off this week so I might give this a bash. It looks "juicy" !!!
 
I don't have an Altezza LM in my garage (I think) but I can't say no to Complex String!

Does anyone know the x-port code thing for the car ??
 
Don't know if I will have a time this week, I just havn't spent enough time on the track to be competitive. Really the only time i've ever raced the track was for TT10. But I may conjure up a slow time because it does look like it could be some fun.
 
I'm coming out at 1002BHP at the end of my upgrade cycle - confirmations?

I'll post some T times when I have a lap that doesn't feature excursions and barriers - makes me wonder how drivers picked braking points in Bahrain, I'm struggling.
 
I dont think that the times will be too close to each other this week !

I'll check the HP when I get home - in about 2 hours - when I get my Altezza all tuned up !!

 
1002 hp here too, haven't even come close to a clean lap yet. I am surprised by the abilty of this car however, it corners great.
 
The tough part is going to be finding a setup for it that I can run with (I'm pretty sure I have one, but I'll have to double check).
 
I'll give this one a try...like the car...no big fan of complex string and the 1000hp is sorta silly but all in all it could be a good combo. Plus it is supposed to rain like a MoFo here in NYC tonight so I'll get at least one session in tonight.
 
hot dang, I learned the hard way that I do not know how to tune a car...

3 laps only, and one is already clean... I can't believe it.
T1 = 41.1
T2 = 1'45.1
T3 = 2'46.7

BTW, I couldn't find in the rules if we can use TCS or ASM. I don't have any of them turned on yet, but I think some TCS would be useful.

Hmm.. I've been really busy with work lately, and dont really want to spend lots of time working with settings, nor starting over and over on a LONG track... Though i may give this week a few runs Sat/Sun, i doubt i will be able to come up with anything competitive. Good luck to everyone who gives this one a try..

uh oh... i can JUST squeak out a gold time on TT10. This is going to be a challenge for sure. Good luck everyone.
 
Hey, I haven't even touched the Time Trials.

My memory must be wrong cause otherwise I'm a minute behind flat-out at T2.
 
I'm all over this one...love it.

Still toying with suspension settings and seeing 2.32.xx at T3... "mostly clean".
 
Sat down tonight, did about 100miles (which is what - 3 laps?)...lots of unintentional opposite lock, especially on the 90* turns section. Got a clean lap, still think there is a bunch of time I can get but not sure if I'll get another session in before the deadline. Fun race though!
