The Rules:
1. You must have 2 tires on the track at all times.
2. The rumble strips are considered part of the track.
3. No wall riding or touching.
4. No cutting the grass or short cutting.
5. No hybrids
6. No cheating of any kind.
7. Save Your Submitted Lap Replay

The deadline: All Times Due before 00.00hrs Central Standard Time (New Orleans, Louisiana, America), Tuesday the 6th. (Same as 06.00hrs London. Tuesday the 6th.)

I have a slight problem...being the Australian version, i only have the Vauxhall VX220. Identical car to the Opel Speedster, but just checking to make sure this isn't a problem if i use it instead? Unless i've missed the Opel, but i've searched everywhere, and can't find it as a prize car, or as one to purchase.

It's the same car. Just another name in the PAL-version. 👍

I had the same problem the first time I should find the Opel. Thought I was going crazy.

Awesome... a lightweight MR car... can't wait to get home and try this. Though, not familar with the Opel... should still be fun. That, and I can upload my replays now... got a MaxDrive... and no typos this week either

Oh, and by fully modded... you mean T8 tires? Gonna be fun getting use to those from using T2 all the time Oh well

Just thought I would post some of my thoughts regarding this race.

Mainly,

I did not want to use the opel/vauxhall for this race.
My first choice was a semi-modified MR2 GTS with a pwr of 3.0 and about 355 hp.
Second to that choice was the Elise 190. 👍

I decided not to choose either of those because I was not sure about how they would be recieved.
Plus, the opel had been mentioned in the suggestions thread... And since it had never been used as the official car for the week.

However, I feel like the Opel in this form is going to be a handful for the course and that will more than likely result in a great race.

Still though, I would have liked it if the Elise 190 had been the car for the week.

Do you all think the 2.2pwr elise with about 270hp would be able to keep up with the speedster (which is at about 2.0 pwr and 3??hp)?

What do you guys think?
And if you do some test runs feel free to post them.
(just remember not to post final times. )

Am I using the wrong car ? (364 hp with oil change and no mileage)
I only ran 4 laps with a best clean at :
T1 = 24.681
T2 = 49.238
T3 = 1'28.771
And it's full of late brakings or worse, unnecessary brakings.

Or perhaps it's due to my wonderful settings

Yes, I know. There is no T3 at SS Route 5.
The one located at Odaiba, Tokyo.
With the suspended bridge at the end of the straight, the refinery at T3 and the ferris wheel in the final turn.

I bounced the idea off a gt friend, he encouraged it, told two guys and they liked it, after it got out two guys imed me and said they liked it, so I am very surprised it caused a stir. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, it was not my intention and I have no beef with the weekly whatsoever. Still, I believe it was harmless and have no regrets. Best after about 5 laps or so is 1:27.4 with a maybe a second to easily come off. Those consecutive hairpins are going to be tough for mr to figure out I think.

That's better this way.

After 5 more laps, my best clean lap is :
T1 = 24.331 (seen 24.0)
T2 = 48.616
T3 = 1'27.506
And I think much more than a second to come off. If only I had plenty of time to practice.

I'd guess that there's at least a second to come off of that (that T3 was from a 24.3 T1, and I know I lost time in the second hairpin).

Just watched my best replay, and it's actually clean I'd been running so many dirty laps I just assumed ...

Why dont you just upload CFM's race gargage with your MAx Drive? IT has arcade unlocked and all the cars with full mods 👍.

Because I still want to complete the rest of the game.. something I still have yet to do. And I don't mind doing it.. its just Arcade mode.... maybe I could use my MaxDrive and just make all the Arcade races one lap or something...

Yay.. MaxDrive pwnage.. just gave myself some cash and opened all the arcade levels

Now, I've fiddled with the settings, and find this car alot like my MR-S, aside from the bump in power... I like it

After about 30 somethign miles of driving.. I have this so far

T1 - 24.811
T2 - 48.300
T3 - 1'27.162

I know I can get a good amount time shaved here and there... but hte settings.. I'm not sure... cause the car feels great... so I'm not sure what I can adjust really... oh well, I'll see.


Oh, and Touge Master... I have the Max AR whatever thingy you talking about, seems to work fine... I just called it a MaxDrive cause well.. thats what it seems to do, plius the cheats... yay... no more redoing Arcade mode!!

Well, had to run around 30+ laps to gain back the feeling of driving in this game since I've been in local competitions for NFSU . Well I guess I got the feeling back but still I haven't reached 100% of me, I got these T times:

Woah and I almost blow it out on the S turn after the T3, the car was like rolling on ice, but thankfully I didn't got the wall

I noticed that too. I just figured it was the settings on the car that I hadn't touched yet.

1st gear with no TCS = 👍

I'm in the high 1'28's with only a few laps under my belt. Nothing worth reporting yet though.
