Ok, it's done and won now ...
Bought a new Raptor for the Daytona race, made it look a bit sweeter at GT Auto and gave it more power with an adjustable ECU and a race outtake. 458 PP was way enough then for a safe win. Tried the stock version later and it's possible to win with the car, however, you need to survive running with the pack. Failed two out of three times. Staying to the very inside seems to help.
At Tokyo I used that maxed out Silvia I had built Wednesday night. Removed everything as far as possible and went to race with a 573 PP setup. That's been quite tense indeed as some of the front runners are decently fast. The other Tokyo event's been an unexpectedly easy win, didn't think the full stock Civic Touring Car is that competitive.
Didn't really care for PP suggestions at the Nordschleife as I have a new engine-swapped 625 PP Mini I definitely wanted to test. And that's been a lot of fun actually, beating Gallo the extra bonus. Caught him approaching the Caracciola Carousel and left him in the dust. Like others have reported too, 15 min is the time to beat here.
WTC 900. Thought why not fighting GT 500 race cars with a road car. Ok, the Valkyrie isn't the prime example of a road car but I was really curious how she would compete. 895 PP. Turned out to be the very best race this week, a hard fought win against two mad men ( Sternberg and Kawakami ) up front. RM compound, FM 5 for the first stint, FM 3 for the second, pit stop at the end of lap 6. If you own a Valkyrie, try this !
Received Clean Race bonuses everywhere except for the Nordschleife but honestly, I don't know how I lost it.
Picts in the spoiler ...

Race 2 (Silvia on Tokyo Clockwise South) is so enjoyable. I race with RM tyres & just cherish the grip && racing during this night race.

I can play this race multiple times for the sheer joy. Old road cars are so much fun with Racing tyres.

I finished this on Friday. Started out at Trial Mountain. I used Tomahawk Gr.1

I didn't realize that I had RM when I chose the vehicle. I had set it to FM6 hoping to do a no stop run but the RMs only lasted 4 laps. I pitted after lap 4 changed to RH & FM1 and I was 50 seconds behind P1. I hoped that P1 would pit at some time so I pushed a s hard as I could and around lap 8 the leader pitted and as was able to get into 1st.
Next I had to play around to with a few cars to find one for the 600 pp Ring race. So I started with Guilia , then I tried the Bulgari VGT and finally I chose the Ruf CTR3. I drove is stock I was able to win the race with it

I ran off the road a few times but I always do at the Ring
Next I used the Garage RCR for the Tokyo race
Easy race and the "traffic" was fun again next
I used my swapped S14 detuned to 700 pp to navigate my favorite version of Tokyo. The last turn before the start/finish line kinda reminds of the turn at SSR11 so I always enjoy going through there

Finally I took my swapped Tundra to Daytona

I got an enigne ticket for the daily marathon and got 1 million k credits from the 6 ⭐

...I haven't yet been able to face loading up the trusty old PS4 for these weekly races yet, as it will just remind me what I'm missing out on in terms of graphics and make me go and spend £500 on a PS5

A pretty good week, all things considered. Managed to complete all on hard.

Pickup Truck Race: Ford F-150 Raptor, all standard, except for the ‘Murica! paint job. Quite a tedious race sloooowly reeling in the leader. Most rubbish race of the week, and for quite a while…

Silvia Sisters: Nissan Silvia K’s Aero (S14) ‘96, near standard bar some aero bits and Nos! Tough race, don’t know how the front runners are below 500PP, IF they are. Could only manage 3rd, as I’m not very familiar with Tokyo.

Honda Civic One-Make: Civic R EK ‘97, race spec. Fun race and a win, but enough with the Civic’s at Tokyo now please PD, time to move on.

European Clubman Cup 600: Porsche 997 GT3 RS-R, CurryVWurst spec +49bhp. Being a ‘Ring regular I thought this would be easy, but my 1st attempt in a Pantera showed me how wrong I was, Gallo was gone! Decided I needed one of my ‘Ring favourites to get the job done. Reach 2nd by the end of lap 1, giving me 1 lap to reel in that Giulia beast. Catching and over taking wasn’t too hard, but my lead shrank considerably along the Dottinger Hohe straight! Won by only 7 seconds.

World Touring Car 900: Mazda LM55 VGT Gr.1, RM tyres. Pretty uneventful win, with the exception of a ‘brown trouser moment’on lap 4! 😂

These are the cars I picked back on Friday...
weekly-challenge-202506w1-cars.jpg

Not everything went according to plan.

weekly-challenge-202506w1-r1.jpg

Daytona - Toyota Tundra TRD Pro '19 - I tried this in the stock truck a couple times, but could only get to P4. Went to the tuning shop and threw in a supercharger. Easy win. First ticket obtained.

weekly-challenge-202506w1-r2.jpg

Tokyo South Clockwise - Nissan Silvia Q's (S13) '88 - I knew I'd need to upgrade this thing a fair bit. I went way overboard. Over 600PP in the end. Easy win. Second box checked.

weekly-challenge-202506w1-r3.jpg

Tokyo South Counterclockwise - Honda Civic Type R (FL5) '22 - I think I upgraded the tires to SS on this. Another easy win. Second ticket obtained.

weekly-challenge-202506w1-r4.jpg

Nurburgring - Lamborghini Diablo GT '00 - Tires upgraded to SS, which may have put me over the suggested limit. Gallo put up a fight, but I managed to build up enough of a gap that he couldn't catch me on the final straight. Fourth box checked.

weekly-challenge-202506w1-r5-sc430.jpg

Trial Mountain - Lexus SC430 GT500 '08 - Unsurprisingly, this car didn't get me there. 6RM-4RS for a P8 finish. Let's try some other Gr.2 car...

weekly-challenge-202506w1-r5-gtone.jpg

Trial Mountain - Toyota GT-One (TS020) '99 - 5RM-5RM for a P4 finish. Still 15 seconds back from the winner. Not good enough.

weekly-challenge-202506w1-r5-gtr08.jpg

Trial Mountain - Nissan GT-R GT500 '08 - 6RM-4RS for P8, again. Grr...

weekly-challenge-202506w1-r5-clk.jpg

Trial Mountain - Mercedes-Benz CLK-LM '98 - 5RM-5RM for P8. Argh...

weekly-challenge-202506w1-r5-f1.jpg

Trial Mountain - BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car '97 - 5RM-5RM for P8. Sigh.

weekly-challenge-202506w1-r5-rs5.jpg

Trial Mountain - Audi RS 5 Turbo DTM '19 - 5RM-5RM for P3. Yay! Final ticket obtained.

Enough of that.

For me, anything Class 1 (So basically, 2016 GT500 cars or that Audi DTM) feel like the best bets for victory At Trail Mountain. With no setup even on the hardest difficulty, I just fly through the first set of corners before the tunnel and can just push like crazy (Which isn't a surprise since High Downforce cars tend to be my jam driving wise). 6 Laps with fuel saving and on Mediums and then 4 on the soft did the trick for me in the Lexus last week, in the Honda last year when this combo was in the Weekly challenges and in the Nissan I tested afterwards. I get the feeling the Audi will pretty much be the same story whenever I get around to getting it and give it a go.
