I think it makes the game more fun and enjoyable rather than just max OP car and strat as it then just feels like hot lapping.

But! The AI are rubbish at spa through Eau Rouge and Blanchimont.
 
Good week. Good, not excellent. Ran all events in medium this time as lately I'm a little too lazy to make more than one attempt :P

Eiger is always a little nightmare for me. I just suck at this track. Not different this time. Got 2nd, every single time I've tried, with whatever car or tires I've tried. Here some rather unspectacularly tuned 911 '81 @ 500pp:

The japanese 4WD gave me a reason to unbox my Suzuki VGT that I had won in some earlier Weekly's 6* ticket, detuned to 600pp. Using RMs made the track which I normally don't really like quite comfortable ;)

Yet another Nurnberg race, and yet another Porsche here - this time Carrera '92 "Tour de Corse Edition", swapped, 700pp. Light rain.
Until then, I had no idea that GT7 has two-way traffic :P (no, it wasn't my fault, didn't touch him)

Special Event at Spa was fun (as others already said). Didn't have the balls to go there without equipping a high-rpm TC, though:

The AI aren't the only ones rubbish there... ☺️
 
Sounds like a rather easy week for getting a 6* ticket - we had much harder ones in the past.

I'm always happy when the hardest event is WTC 700 or 800 as I know I will completely rock it. When it comes to WTC 900, Gr. 1 or Super formula things get a little shaky... ;)

Good set this week and hopefully 6* ticket isn't just a car .
I already sent for wash , the Express and his friends as about Bathurst depends on fuel consumption but definitely I won't pull out the Police car .
 
I finished up the WC this morning. I took the Hyundai VGT to Daytona. I did a one stop on lap 7. I think I could have gotten maybe 2 more laps but I wanted to make sure I had enough time to win after coming out of the pitstop. I fully recharged the battery and changed to fresh RH tires and I was about 7 seconds behind P1 on lap 8 and I had enough time to get in to P1 by lap 9. I love the time change at Daytona. I like seeing the fireworks and the ferris wheel.

This always reminds me of arcady titles like Grip, Dirt 5, Gravel etc. but luckily it's not that penetrant in GT7. But I wouldn't really need it. I prefer other "sky events" such as landing airplanes, flying zeppelins, or the air show in some Le Mans and Monza races.

Almost late to the party...

Due to a busy week, I had saved the last 3 races for today and run back home to find a suitable slot to race them before family entered the pitstops :D

Porsche Cup required a few tries because this poor driver can't manage to keep the car out of the green. I managed to finish 2nd, followed by a miriad of DNFs due to crash. Finally, gave it another go and squeezed a 1st place right before the last corner. Obviously, no CRB :banghead:

The Special Event with the RA272 has been so enjoyable that I've run it several times even if I won it first time. Sporting a Lotus Ford livery while donning my green & yellow scarf and matching oily goggles, I din't seem to get tired of feeling the wind on my face. Wonderful! :D

Finally, the WTC800 at Daytona felt a bit underwhelming after the thrill of vintage F1 at Spa. FM6, RS tires with a 1 pitstop at lap 5 was enough to enjoy the fireworks.

Looking forward to next week!

FJ40V being a Special Event is rather curious because it's not on the LCD today, so if you didn't get it at launch or when the gray one was a Tuesday Special Pick the week after that...

Looks like I'll be blocked from doing the special event in my alt account since I didn't buy a Land Cruiser when it was added to the game. Here's hoping it shows up in the LCD sometime during the week.

Decent enough week. Sunday Cup is quite easy as the AI seems to struggle a bit, not a fan of that track in reverse so I was glad when it was over. One-make I used a part tuned car and had no trouble, even with one of them being much faster than the rest of the field. Fun track in those cars too, not something I'd have thought would work but it did. Pickup race I just got over with as fast as possible, wasn't interesting to me. Turbo Sportscars is at a really good track but the AI is also really slow here. Won with a 590 PP swapped Volvo 240 on SH without any trouble so there's a lot of slower cars that can win this. For me the AMG GT R was the fastest with them being about 10 seconds ahead of the rest of the AI, the Nissan Z also seems to be really fast on the straights so those are the ones to watch for. WTC 700 is the highlight with changeable weather and a lovely time of day change into the sunset. Don't mind this version of Dragon Trail in this direction but the AI was quite annoying at the multiple apex left with them weaving all over the track. Not too difficult to win in either a Gr.4 car or a tuned road car around that pace, just have to watch for any weird strategy by the AI. Usually the cars on RS stay out 1 lap too long and lose a lot of time on worn tyres, some others are quite fuel efficient but they'll still pit. I pitted on lap 5 for tyres and fuel and won by 5 seconds in a tuned CX-30, didn't get any more than a small amount of drizzle but it can rain a decent amount too from what I've seen.
