I did the WTC800 in the Porsche 911 GT3 R (with Grello livery) and won it by a whisker on my second attempt (Hard difficulty).

1st race: RM tyres, pit on Lap 5, P3 until the last straight and Drumont either ran out of fuel or tyres, so I ended P2 about 4s down.

2nd race: RM tyres, pit on Lap 6 for RS, brief spin trying to pass at the hairpin before the back straight cost me 8s, but I managed to stay in the race and passed for P1 on the last turn (another GT3 R).

Mount Panorama is a bit of a love/hate circuit for me; I find the AI quite frustrating, as it is too slow through the hill section, particularly in the twists and turns on the way down to the hairpin; ironically, I would probably get trounced if that wasn't the case.

I chickened out and used the Valkyrie, and won by a country mile. If I didn't dislike the track so much, I'd try it with a more challenging car, so it's impressive to see such a good effort with the 205 GTI!

I somewhat enjoyed the week's races. The Bathurst WTC800 is one of my absolute favorites, especially in the new 992 GT3R. The Hypercar Parade race is one of my least favorites.

My main account choices (Normal Difficulty)
WC 1.30.26 GARAGE1.webp
-Sunday Cup: stock 356 Speedster, not enough for a win, but it was fun chase to P2.
-Euro Clubman Cup 600: 'Mintee' came through and smoked Gallo at 600pp. Suzuka suits the 996 perfectly too.
-One-Make SU7- This fulfilled my EV race for the week. I drove it stock and took a bit of getting used to, but no complaints. Race is 2 laps too long in my opinion.
-Hypercar Parade: I pulled my 'full fat tune' 911 GT1 and was able to get a 6 second lead once Beauvois got through halfway into lap 2 and tried to hold him off, to no avail, another P2.
-WTC800: The new 992 GT3R was absolutely perfect for Mount Panorama. The default gearing is optimized for topping out going into the Chase at the end of Conrod Straight. The 992 is truly sublime across the top! I ran FM3 for the first 3 laps and FM1 after that. The RH tires held out for the full race for a no-stop race. I have already done this race multiple times since.

Alternate Account (Easy Difficulty-forgot to switch back to Normal)
WC 1.30.26 GARAGE2.webp
-Sunday Cup: 964 Carrera RS, stock. Overkill, sure, but I absolutely adore any chance to drive the 964. Certified Diamond
-Euro CC 600: 997 GT3. my workhorse of this account made light work of Gallo.
-One Make: SU7 Ultra, stock. Another race, another win. Race is 2 laps too long, but I did get into a flow, which I didn't expect.
-Hypercar Parade: 918 Spyder, stock. I bolted RHs to an otherwise stock 918. Got lucky that it took Beauvois over 2 laps to clear traffic and I was able to build a big enough gap to second to hold onto P1.
-WTC800: 992 GT3R, stock. First race was a no stop win. I did another one where I started on RMs and pitted at the end of Lap 7 for RSs to the end. I got into the 2:01s on Softs but started hitting traffic on the last lap. I think if you can hold on for another lap on the Mediums, that is the right strategy.

I finished up the WC last night. I started at Bathurst with the Living Legend. I was able to do a no stop race.

I like how the planes fly overhead.
Next I did the hypercar.I tried SU7 a t first and I was doing well until the French guy walked me down in a Valkyrie and pulled away from me. I went from a 3 second lead to being down 4 seconds. This occurred on the back end of the track right before the finish line. It's most my fault I was driving to cautiously. So if you can't beat'em join. I grabbed one of my Valkyries and blew the doors off the AI.

In this pic in my anger I rammed the Merc and sent him into the wall 🤷‍♂️ Next it was the SU& one make race. It was a little bit long but that was okay it helped me get more comfortable with the SU7.

By this time I was ready for it to be over so I grabbed the Valkyrie for double duty

Finally I took the Corvette EV to Willow

Right here I decided to see how the Vette would do offfroad and the answer is not well. I think I want to go back and try the Hypercar with SU7 and try for a better result.

With the Manufacturers Cup season done, I had time to give this week's challenges a go (mostly hard difficulty).

My picks:

My pics:

Willow Springs - Nissan Silvia Q's (S13) '88 - I left the car stock, besides the wide body and aero. Didn't know the track well enough to win. Finished P3. Good enough for the ticket.

Suzuka - Radical SR3 SL '13 - Sometimes I take an unconventional line. Stock car. Managed P2, which was good enough.

Deep Forest - Xiaomi SU7 Ultra '25 - As you can probably tell from the damage, I did not get a clean race bonus on this one. I did get a win, though. Second ticket obtained.

Sainte-Croix - Aston Martin Vulcan '16 - I upgraded the tires to RS for this one. That made for a pretty easy win in this car. Fourth box checked.

Bathurst - Chevrolet Corvette C7 Gr.3 - I tried this on hard difficulty, but could only manage a P6 in this car with a 7RM-3RS strategy. For my second attempt, I lowered the difficulty to normal, which made for an easy win. 6RM-4RS strategy. Last ticket obtained.

I did some testing of all the EV's in a time trial at Road Atlanta. The SU7 Ultra wipes them all out. So if you don't like the way it drives, rest assured it's the best performing EV in the game by a country mile. So when you think of it in this comparison, it really is a impressive car. But like all of them, the combination of heavy weight (batteries), high torque, top speed, and no gears, it's a different drive forcing either a sheer hate for it or a steep learning curve to get your eye in.

I got my eye in with the One-Make and then wondered how it would fare at the Hypercar Parade race event. I got it to 2nd place in a completely stock version however beating the Valkerie required a couple of upgrades.

1. Weight Reduction - Stage 1
2. Tires - Racing Soft

With this setup I was able to get in front early and pull away with just enough distance so the Valkerie ran out of laps to catch up and overtake me. It was a close finish though. My heart was pounding as I could hear it getting closer and closer in the last two laps. Good fun!

Cars for this week.
all on hard difficulty

-Sunday Cup:
Got a 205GTI for the new engine swap, but decided to use the stock version for this race. CRB✅ with a P3, P1 when rubbing is racing🚩. Hate this track.
-Euro Clubman Cup 600: Stock Ferrari F50 (616PP) Finished P2 after the NOT 600PP Guilia of Gallo. CRB✅
-One-Make SU7: Again a stock car, was wondering why I was only gaining 2s a lap. Then I remembered the overtake button ;)
Got the lead in lap 6 and never looked back... Car is ok if you brake 50m before you think you should... CRB✅
-Hypercar Parade: Espace-swapped, fully tuned Toyota Supra. Lack of downforce kills this. Took the lead in lap 1, was around 6s ahead of P2. Valkyrie came in P2 near the middle of lap 2 and closed the gap in no time. Was in my mirrors by the end of the lap and he eventually won by 8s (!) Don't like the track so not sure if I will work on my tune because it should be possible to win with this car... Depending were the Valkyrie starts too... CRB✅
-WTC800: Walked trough it with the Audi R18. No stop, RH. lap times 1:57.2 average (best was 1:55.4 on the last lap) easy win.
Maybe I'll try with the new Porsche. Think I need 2:01.x lap times to make it work.

The disparity in competitor PP drives me crazy. I don't mind racing within the recommended PP when the competition is too. A basically stock NA Miata is sweet at 380. However, after a bunch of P2/P3 finishes in honest just-under-600 cars at Suzuka I just ran it with the GT3 RS. I'll probably run that one a few more times. Trying to choke my my way past having to buy the SU7. I dislike the electrics in this game intensely.

I feel your pain as I have a stock version of every car in the game and with some race events i find it difficult to find a unmodified car under the suggested PP that has a chance to win the race with a Clean Race Bonus.
This week's Suzuka race is a good example.

Maybe that's why it's only a 'suggested' PP. Are they encouraging you to tune or use a car with a much higher PP? I don't know.

I find the Recommended Car for some race events are on point while others I feel they haven't given any thought to it at all.

Why is this wall so sticky ??? Another fail at Mount Panorama.

No car lost on throttle this time, but interactions with slow AIs turned sour at least twice 😖

And very poor lap times on top of that.

You have to stay off the grass. It’s breaking your traction

I always think of this movie whenever I jump in a Prius.

Which is what I did for the Sunday Cup at Willow Springs. Completely stock straight off the showroom floor. Not an easy win but a fun time was had throwing the car around the corners.
