Interesting as i find the stock gearbox pretty ok, as far as i remember.

For the Alpine's case, yes. It was built to be a quasi-GT lightweight car.

Fun fact, I was supposed to run it on FM3, but forgot to toggle it (I was still getting used to the 488 GT3 Wheel add on) so I just ran with it and did short shifting + lift and coast on FM1. Can last 4 laps but it rained on Lap 3 and everyone pit.

The rain made me continue my LiCo routine still on FM1. The car lasted till the end while the rest had to pit in at Lap 6 or 7.

I did good with the Supra GT4. Ran to end of Lap 6. Added fuel and changed for fresh RH. Cruised to a win.

The field pitted Lap 4 "when dee rain has come". So weird, the Huracan and Lancer spun a lap apart at Campus. I was wondering what happened to the Lancer when I passed. Then, since the Huracan was dispatching cars quickly, I passed it and a while later it vanished.
Supra was fine in the wet patches.

Couldn't catch P1 at Eiger. Had fun moving up the field. The P2 Beat edge me out at the line.

Love the sound of the EF with racing exhaust. A screamer.

I'll do the other two races later.

Really fun week with a good mix of races. Sunday Cup Classic needed a faster car than I expected, Tsukuba is a good circuit for those cars too. Lightweight K-Cup is actually quite hard given the two fastest cars seem to start at the front, needs under 1:23 every lap to get close. WRC was the opposite because it's so easy I could've probably won with a Kei car if it let me use it, AI is incredibly slow here. One-make was really fun, N24h with TCR cars will always be good and it was nice to have the sun come up throughout the lap. Not really much of a challenge but I've driven the Elantra a bunch since it was released. WTC 700 is one of my absolute favourite races in the game, fun track and you can use a ton of different cars. Weather always makes it interesting too as it often will rain and gets very gloomy as the race finishes late. I went with a TCR spec FK8 Civic and had a lot of fun, AI messed up with some not switching to IM but the Viper still kept chase for a few laps.

Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges: Easy TC

Come Friday morning, come another new set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges, with the special bonus mode for players who’ve completed the core career offering up some new events to tackle...
I think the weather at Spa is random. I had rain starting at the end of lap 4. By the time I got to raidillon it had entered a lingering dark blue splodge on the weather radar and by Les Combes it was halfway up the water meter and inters were necessary. After spinning out twice I quit rather than crawl back to pits.

Edit: 2nd attempt - a heavy bank of rain starts half way round lap 2 and water meter is half full after 2 corners. I quit again.
3rd attempt - weather radar looks same as attempt 2 so I pitted for inters at the end of lap 1. All the AI are caught out by the rain and I take the lead whilst they pit for wets. The heavy rain lasts 2 laps, then it was light rain until the last lap. I needed fuel after lap 6 so took fresh inters too and won comfortably against the AI who had pitted again for inters.

Elantra TC was a really fun drive however, needs saying rallying and kei cars need to be to put to rest they get far more attention than they deserve, it's disproportional/tedious.
I don't understand why we don't get any Red Bull car races AT ALL...

Also, the Jimny Cup (and to a lesser extent Porsche and Ferrari events) and Hypercar events hardly ever come up.

I don't remember ever seeing the Clubman Plus series ever making an appearance, either.

Done and done.

Elantra TCR one make race was by far disappointing.

And time for another experimentation in the WTC 700.

6-star ticket reward. Perhaps my new lab rat for the Spa race.

The Red Bulls might have a time limited tie in with crew motorfest (there's been a playlist on there all about the brand). Variety at this late stage keeps engagement better, I dont mind rinsing things that are genuinely fun, and everyone is different in that regard. Kei cars are niche as is Rally nothing wrong with that, but being niche why should they be so frequent...

"Hadjar" treated this race as a mere Sunday drive.

Now, I feel generous today, so here's the tune.

But here's the catch. Figure out how to make this car last 4 laps on FUEL MAP 1 AND gap the entire field during the showers.

Yep, because that's how I ran it.

 Didn't know people are making mysteries about tunes. Never mind. Haven't thought about getting light cars (because of fuel efficiency) to compete against Gr.4. Will do that myself.

@RCKakashi14 aka Yasmarinasi in order to share a tune there some aspects to be done first.

All the known planets must be align in a specific order ....
CIA ,NSA must give the order and finally CSI must be present in the crime scene to ensure that only the specific tunes will be realised.😂

A perfect Friday ! Had a day off so I started in the morning, going slowly from one race to another in my very relaxed pre weekend mood. I tried to keep track of my attempts and their outcome - it's been easier than expected all in all.
Don't know how you've been doing, for me the first two are the tough ones this time ... but big fun of course.

Race 1 at Tsukuba
Toyota Sports 800 '65 - CM / 74 hp / 642 kg / 349,20 PP
Came in second at my first attempt behind Pagandet in the Golf and I already thought about adding a bit of power to my tiny bugger. On the final lap of the next run however, Pagandet suddenly slowed down for whatever reason and I could pass.
Guess there's a script somewhere saying "IF second attempt THEN let player win". Anyway, first win with CRB.

Race 2 at Eiger Nordwand
Honda S660 '15 - CS / 96 hp / 840 kg / 400,00 PP
I had assumed yesterday that it's going to be a battle against Fraga and Miyazono and it's been exactly that ! However, here's where my fun starts and it's just perfect pushing these slow cars across the Swiss Alps. The race's been really tense but the first attempt already brought the win with CRB.
WC_260213_R2.webp

Race 3 at Colorado Springs
Subaru Impreza Rally Car '98 - D / 224 hp / 1.230 kg / 488,55 PP
Couldn't forget @Fuzzi0n 's comment about winning this with a Kei Car so the first thing I did was detune my Subi. Wasn't as brave as to bring it down to Kei Car level - for now at least. The race still was extremely easy. After losing the bonus against an erratic Pagandet in his 205 Turbo, I needed a second try. Third win with CRB.
WC_260213_R3.webp

Race 4 at NBR24
Hyundai Elantra N TC '24 - RH / 350 hp / 1.270 kg / 623,40 PP
The Elantra Touring Car was a first time drive for me and I had to do this race three times today. Not because it's brutal fun but because I needed some time to realize how hard you can ( and maybe have to ) push this car. After P4 and P3 I could finally outrun the two leading cars going three wide down Döttinger Höhe. Fourth win with CRB.
WC_260213_R4.webp

Race 5 at Spa Francorchamps
Renault Megane Trophy "Espace F1" '11 - RH / 418 hp / 992 kg / 668,55 PP
No rain ! Perfect conditions for the Sunday driver that I am. And running FM5 - FM3 on hard tires allowed for a race without pit stop. Don't know exactly what it is but I seriously enjoy driving this car, simply suits me greatly. Of course the opposition wasn't a match for the Renault, so it's been an easy fifth win with CRB.

Car shuffle wheel gave me the 1966 Jaguar XJ13, I was overjoyed. Thought about taking it the Tsukuba but the Road Car only restriction meant I went for the much more exciting option of taking it around Spa instead.

Seeing that I already had won the WTC700 event at Dragon Trail using this legend, I knew I was in for a good time.

Switching between FM3-5 and a dry track meant one stop to switch out a new set of Racing Mediums was enough for an easy win.

Sounds great, feels great. Ridiculously OP for the PP (just over 680). Worth every penny.

After a frustrating rerender and subsequent reupload due to the last file being corrupted, here it is:

Sunday Cup Classic: Honda Fit Hybrid. haven't used it before, kinda fun.
Lightweight K Cup: Honda N One RS. Ol' reliable as usual around a track a track like this.
World Rally Challenge Gr.B: Toyota 86 GR.B. The Monster Energy car returns for more dirty chaotic driving
World Touring Car 700: Renault Megane Trophy. Surprisingly viable option, even when short shifting on the hardest difficulty
Special Event: Absolute blast. Got it done on my first try, love the night-day transition.

Finished up. Again, weird. I forgot to change the slammed suspension on the NSX and it handled way better on the course. Very direct and planted. Breezed through the field.
20970324229752305.webp

Did the same with the Hyundai. Slammed it, stiffened the springs, softened the dampers and ARBs. Sharpened the handling for me.

Got the Lexus VGT when the other cars on the wheel were: Super Formula Honda ‘23, Silver Ferrari VGT, 911 GT3 R, McLaren P1 GTR(!). Sold the Lexus for 488,000GTC.

What I used, the Megan and S800 I had not used before even without engine swap which these versions have, also the Mustang didn't have my number on so I am going to say I had not used this before either, I think I have but maybe not won with it.

The Spa race lowest fuel and RH tires I could have gone without stopping, but it started to rain just before lap 4 so I pitted for wets a lap before the other cars and i came out and they were sliding all over the place, I won by miles never pitting again.

I concur the ELANTRA at Nürb is very fun. It took me a few attempts to get the win with a CRB but there was never a boring moment each time I tried. Very enjoyable car to drive on this track.

I lucked out with the 6-star ticket last week (1,000,000 credits). I can only hope the game gods feel as generous this time.

Tunes are subjective. What works for me does not automatically work on everyone. At the end of the day, driving does most of the work.
There aren't many things to be said that are more true than this. While all cars can be improved it's always a matter of tailoring them to the driving style, and a quick driver with the default tune will still be faster than an average one with a perfect setup. I lived the public GT tuning life for almost eight years and while it's been history for more than a decade, the work behind the scenes never stopped as people probably have guessed from my postings in this thread.

But having said that, imagine if you, me, and @ROCKET JOE put together a tuning garage. We'd have our hands full trying to survive the stampede.
