In World Touring Car race700, there's such mockery of the top brass of drivers.........

I chose the Mazda3. Around end of lap 1, it was evident rain is going to hit the track. While I pitted to swap RH to IM, the AI (top drivers of the game) continued to stay out. As I was on IM, I caught upto top 6 by end of the 2nd lap who were struggling to stay on track.

Then they all pit & switch to W instead IM as the rain wasn't falling hard which is why I chose IM. After 2 laps, the rain eased off & the AI cars pitted for IM (sheesh) while I continued on the drying lap.

At the end of lap 6, I pitted for RS as there was a clear dry line. The AI cars made another pit stop for RM/RS tyres. I won the race by 50 seconds approximately. It was comedy gold of wrong strategy by the AI cars. This is the reason why I now just prefer racing in daily races or lobbies as it feels more real & competitive.

A challenging and enjoyable selection of races this week. All completed on Hard difficulty, some took a few attempts to conquer.
This weeks’ Super Cinco…

Sunday Cup Classic: Mini Cooper S ‘65 - Engine and suspension mods, CM tyres. This was a challenge to win but I enjoyed every attempt. My favourite being 'Photo Finish' win!
Lightweight K-Cup: Super Carry - Fully tuned, CS tyres. The PP rating for this truck is ridiculously low, but it was still tough getting to the front in 5 short laps.
World Rally Challenge Gr.B: Celica GT-four - Stock (with Dirt tyres, obvs). Knowing how easy it is to beat the AI in comparable machinery, I decided to choose the least powerful Gr.B car I own. Took a few attempts to get used to rallying again, but it was fun.
Elantra One Make: Not a fan of the wheel spin and torque steer, but it’s a challenge to win this race. Thought it would be easy, so didn’t push on first attempt, and finished 3rd as a result. Focused for the second, and winning, run.
WTC 700: Porsche 992 GT3 R - RH tyres, and power restricted. I bought this to complete the Seasonal Menu, so thought I should give it a go. Bought IM tyres expecting inclement weather, but no more than a few spot of rain fell, resulting in an uneventful and easily won race.

6 Star (Car) roulette spin yielded a Toyota TS010. Already owning one I’m yet to use, this will be sold once the used trade in value peaks again.

My 'Photo-of-the-Week' goes to this super-tight win at Tsukuba!

1. I begun with the car I used last week, the AE86 Truno. I made this car to be a bit of a touring car (Still haven't finished the livery)
2. Next, I used Mocha, the Cappachino (Just a nickname I gave it back when I used to play Auto Modellista)
3. The 98' Subaru handles pretty good, despite the fact I spun nearly 3 times because I don't do much rally.
4. The Hyundai GR.4 car... Can't say much about it.
5. Finally, I used the GR.4 Porsche Cayman. I got lucky, and the rain wasn't too bad, so I did a one (or two?) stop.

Same here, the wheel becomes significantly lighter under acceleration, which is usually a sign of spinning, but it’s actually not with this car.
The front end shudders on my Thrustmaster TGT if I accelerate hard while turning. It's the same for all my high torque FF cars, including my FTO irl.
I just try get the wheels as straight as possible so the tires can find some traction.

I couldn't find a stock car under 400 PP that could win the Lightweight K-Cup at Eiger Nordwand so I used my trusty 398.63 PP tuned S660 '15.

Multiple attempts to get the win, mostly because this track is distractingly gorgeous in VR.

On Weekly Challenge @ Nurb... it's listed as the 3rd race. Completed it twice (1st place) but it won't let me go to the next #4 race. It says I've completed the race but the dot isn't filled in and can't go on to the next race!

I used the WTC race to test my new FL5 with a livery I just made. 467hp on RH. This thing is a guzzler. Had it on FM6 and still crazy thirsty. Pitted at the end of lap 3 and figured I'll just finish mid-pack since I'll require another stop. Then rain started appearing on the horizon and it started on lap 5. Figured I'd pit soon and might as well throw on some IM's. Well that worked to my advantage. Pitted out in 5th with three laps to go and all the AI still on racing tires. Overtook everyone then most of them pitted on the 7th and by then it was too late. lol Took the unexpected win.

weird, you can do the race in the order you want, no need to complete one to do the next

While the most of you had countless successful runs at the various weekly challenges, I had, well, the opposite. A very much hopeless competition. There's been a certain reason though for my undertaking :
... WRC was the opposite because it's so easy I could've probably won with a Kei car if it let me use it, AI is incredibly slow here. ...
Race 3 at Colorado Springs
Subaru Impreza Rally Car '98 - D / 224 hp / 1.230 kg / 488,55 PP
Couldn't forget @Fuzzi0n 's comment about winning this with a Kei Car so the first thing I did was detune my Subi. Wasn't as brave as to bring it down to Kei Car level - for now at least. ...
I made this dream come true yesterday. :dunce:

PROOF YOU COULDN'T WIN THE WRC CHALLENGE AT COLORADO SPRINGS WITH A KEI CAR !
( with a standard kei car engine at least ... and assuming standard kei car cup PP restrictions )

Wasn't sure if you can detune the Subi that much but it's possible actually :

Gran Turismo™ 7_20260214172635.webp

I did 5 runs ( my daily marathon as a side effect ) with very very similar results. 5 runs at full throttle more or less. I always managed to overtake 3 to 5 back markers but the final gap to the leading Audi remained at a constant 15 seconds. Here's my best result, with CRB btw  :

Gran Turismo™ 7_20260214171357.webp

At least they let me run the fastest lap. I did a short countercheck as well with my S660 in time trial mode and that's been even slower with laps at around 1.45 min.

I love Rally, I love Colorado Springs, I love my Subi but I won't do that again. Enough is enough !!!

You don't need to do them in order, so I'm not sure what you mean by "it won't let" you enter another, different WC event.

Can you provide screenshots showing you have completed the race and the overview showing that you haven't, and what you mean by "it won't let me go to the next"/"can't go on to the next"?

There's no bug I'm aware of that doesn't show a race as completed, only the rewards bug - part of which shows events as complete but doesn't give the rewards.

My best guess: the green dots for the green Weekly Challenges board fill up in order regardless of how the races are completed, and there's simply a misunderstanding as for example races 1,2 and 4 are done but the board shows 1-2-3 as it only counts the amount.

This week was easy....

Tsukuba, could not get a flux capacitor from O'Reilly Auto Parts.

I did the WC this morning before I had to go into work.
I started at Spa with the Ferrari 330 P4. The monsoon came towards the end of lap 2 so I switched to wets while the AI did IMs. I always keep the weather map up during the weather races and saw that it was probably going to rain the rest of the race so I used wets. One with a 1 pit stop strategy
20970081318371112.webp

Next I did the Elantra TC race at the Ring. I just added the high rpm and some RS tires. It was a very pleasant drive for me it was the 1st time I can remember in awhile when I was able to do the entire Ring with out going off track
20970789074011274.webp

For the dirt race I use Subbie Gr. B. I usually take the Audi Gr.B here and use it to slide to victory. The Subbie worked well but It got airborne a time or 3
20970537470959928.webp

I used my swapped Beat at Norwand. I had to use tc3 to keep it from spinning out. I still had a bad accident on lap 2 because I forgot to slow down before T1.
20970321386579163.webp

Finally I used the Corvette VGT to get the Tsukuba race over with.
20970652316185012.webp

Got a SF 23 which I sold for 389k cr

Did Spa with my trusted Porsche GT3 RS '22 on RH, with some IMs in the pits but never saw a drop of rain despite weather radar showing a good amount closing in (that UI is so badly designed by the way...).

Had to put some fuel on lap 8, because I only had 0.9 laps of fuel remaining, should have short shifted earlier...

Easy victory on normal difficulty, and margin would have been much bigger without a pit stop.

Won a Aston Martin VGT 😑

Attempted multiple times to win the Spa race in a completely stock ELANTRA N TC '24 with no pit and no HUD. With RH tires and no fuel mixture changes it was a game of 'will it rain' to slow the race down and leave me with enough fuel to cross the finish line, or will it stay dry and force me to short-shift all the way?

Having rain you don't have to worry about the fuel gage but getting around a wet track on worn RH is painful.

This race it didn't rain enough to slow the race down so it was all about the fuel. I ran out before the last chicane on the last lap and crossed the line on a smelly rag.

Cars this week
all on hard

Sunday Cup Tsukuba - Volvo 240GL, stock except SH tire. Win + CRB✅
K-Cup Eiger - Suzuki Carry, tuned to 390-395PP. Walk in the park. Win + CRB✅
Gr. B Colorado Springs - Celica Gr.B (actually Gr.A but ok PD), adjusted the suspension for rally and added a mid-RPM turbo. That wasn't needed... Won by nearly 35s. No CRB at rally though...🚩
'Ring 24H Elantra - RM + lowered the downforce a bit for more top speed. First try, with some error 9:00 flat, 3rd place 2,5s behind. 2nd try cleaner run, 8:56, 1st place by 0,5s. Nice race, good challenge...CRB🚩
WTC700 Spa - Silvia S15 touring Gr.4 but with a VR38DETT engine swap, tuned to 699PP on RH. Smooth car but thirsty. FM3 and short shifting gets you 3 laps... Luckily rain came at the end of lap 2, went for inters, while the pack kept going. Came out the pit 45s behind in P19, started lap 4 in the lead with everyone coming in for rain tire... Re-fuel end of lap 6, kept the inters. Drying out in the later half of Lap 8, but still an easy win by 40+s. CRB✅

This week: Been there, done that.

1: I like Tsukuba. It's like a kids' playground :) And this event was a job for a Roadster (although I got only 3rd):

20970763113777347.webp

2: Generally I don't like those Eiger races, but this one was kinda fun. Got P1 in the very last corner of the very last lap:

20970730199002089.webp

3: Rally (-Cross) in GT has always been a little weird. Especially if one did a couple of "real" Rally games before. But still, these events are pretty funny. This time I wanted to try the Mustang Gr. B. for the first time, stock. Got the Audi in lap 4.

20970454411987337.webp

4: Collect-to-play race. Sorry, I'm still not getting warm with those Hyundais, they drive just too weird for my taste. But Nurnberg is always challenge and fun at the same time. P1 was a little harder to get here, didn't get him before the long stretch.

5: Tried the WTC700 twice, 1st attempt with an engine-swapped and detuned RE Amemiya which didn't work well. 2nd attempt I switched on "cheat mode" and took my 962 with my Le Mans tune which made it an easy win:

Finally, the car ticket provided this rocket:
