Final time for this week is a measly 10.989!

Won't have the time or the inclination to try further.

Good luck guys!

Neil

Not too bad... 10.9 seems to be where everyone else is getting stuck.

I think you guys are doing something wrong. I'm not running this week, but I did a couple of quick runs, and I managed a 10.7xx on my third run.

This is the one racing series that is repeatable almost every time, once you get your settings right. The fact that you weren't able to repeat it afterwards, leads me to believe that since that run that was full of wheelspin and such, probably was an 11.7xx *

*from our aim convo, to those of you who are confused, trust me I'm not telepathic

A 10.989 measly? pah.

i could only manage an 11.211. thats measly. :indiff: :indiff:

that was with 384 hp and the auto tranny at 25, with the stiffest suspension settings and full power nitrous.

i'll join in the next series though :)

Well stiff suspension settings are only good if *some* suspension settings are stiff... take a look at PB's winning settings at the end of the results for week 1 and 2 for some ideas :)

HEY!!
So, now we are playing with the 401hp package????
I made an 10'909 with the 384hp:sly:
I'm sure that i can make a better time with the 401hp
good luck everybody

Nice time.. make sure with the 401 that you run it down to 400 or below, like how BallstotheWall did it :)

I made a slight bit of improvement on my time, not that I need to it seems. Y'all are missing something key here.

I may give everyone an extension, because my Friday night is going to be busy and I probably will need to take a nap before that... and Friday afternoon after work is the time I take care of this all so you guys might luck out and find extra time to beat me.

Get those last runs in!

10.974 now:crazy: i set all susp. setings loose and it seems to have good grip from 3rd gear up, but i can't get the trans. settings right yet... how much longer is there in this week's series?

I have excellent grip my entire run but that's something else :)

You have, from the time of this post, at least 5 to 6 hours, and more likely til late Friday night sometime.

No, it definantly was 10.7xx. 11.7xx feels too slow to have been the same run, plus, I have it in my record book.

and that's it... competition closed, results in first post :)

Congrats to all!

I will post my settings tomorrow morning before I leave for Chicago. I will also post the new thread. I want to do something FF, and I'm in the mood for a vs. shootout... as in one FF car vs. another FF car. If anyone posts any ideas before I get up, I will certainly look into it and it will likely be chosen if it's a well thought out combo.

Here are my winning settings.

The best run was done between 395-398 hp

The big key here that I think gave me the huge victory margin is the fact that I started off in third gear. My launch was full gas in third, nitrous for the first 1/2 second of the launch, let off while the revs fall, hit the nitrous again just before the revs complete their descent, and full on nitrous and gas the rest of the run.
