The end of Week 5 already, eh?

Huuuuuge upset this week - Sough has finally been toppled! :D Well done to BigJamesGTI, who has improved immensly since the start of this series. đź‘Ť

'Scuse my time, I got caught up in drifting mah Vertigo - YAY! I promise to do better this week. :O

For those new racers (ie Injected8706) who don't know the format, the competitors are judged on best lap, so the best lap wins.

Congratulations as always to winners, and to all competitors - this week was the closest week of the series. Well done everyone!
 
Damn that was close. You beat me by almost 4 tenths of a second Sough. But I had the quicker lap... Funny thing is, this is just what I wanted to happen tho. My first race with you guys I got 3rd, second race I got 2nd, and third race I get 1st :)
I dont think Im ever gonna put so much effort again as I did for this track. Killed too many braincells.

Anyways this week Im off to sunny scotland with work so Ive got tonight and friday nite to test :( Gonna meet up with Pedro I think

was close tho but T13R got the quickest lap of his submitted race so I spose he won !!!

I sort of see where Storm is comin from a bit more now

He cud post two sets of results ? Wudnt be that hard and it wud sort of make 2 races out of one ? Quickest overall AND quickest lap in submited race on race day

Just have two lists rather than one - not too much work until I spose there are more drivers ???
 
I agree with you Sough, but in a 2 player game, whoever would have taken the first corner out of us two would have won. 4 tenths over 5 laps is nothing. Now if you would have been 10 seconds quicker over 5 laps, that would be different. I guess what Im trying to say is that if we were to duel on this track (and Im also including Bollocks because he is also really close), we would be almost identical in speed. In my eyes, you still finished 1st. But atleast I know Im right there in ur gearbox :D

I totally agree with you James.. If I wouldnt have given this series a try, I would have thought that my lap records were super fast. But now that I joined, I realised I was nowhere close to some of the best lap times. So it forced me to improve, just as it forced you to improve James. This is becoming really beneficial to all of us. It must suck abit for Sough, because he is basically the pace setter for each race..
 
Yeah - I noticed that before.
Its hard to improve if you are in front all the time
 
Not to take anything away from you T13R, that was a nice lap and race you put together. Still, this isn't what I thought we would be doing when we started this thing. I think we should take a vote on the rules.
 
I would have finished in front of BigJamesGTI if we went by total time and not best lap :(

I think we should do both, as BigJamesGTI mentioned. Make a list with the fastest lap as the winner, then make another with the best total time as the winner.
 
So my idea of having two results is gaining on you ppl :)
I think it would be better that way, so that ppl who are consistent get rewarded for it. As for the fastest lap, would it be the fastest lap during the race, or the whole week?

I think it should be the fastest lap from just testing... it would be almost like qualifying and would make it seem more like an actual race.
 
Yep, thats what I thought of the first time around. The free testing would result in our fastest lap result, and the race result would be based on the quickest race time.
