hey wats up everyone i was decent at driftting in gt3 i remember when i first started i always used to spin out and i practiced for about a month and i got quite better but not that good i could drift 90% of apricot hill and mid-feild ok.... so moving to the point i got gt4 and i found drifting was killer but then practiced and practiced now getting the hang of it BUT...... i cant quite seem to get the car really side ways if i do and try to bring it back too much weight comes in and car spins out any suggestions.......??

PS i am DS2 controller and the car i am using is a 347 hp mazda rx-7 ,90 i think its the boxy one in gt3 it was the easiest to drift in so i got that one i tried wit 96 240sx forget it too F$%^&*@ hard car wont even looose traction

sounds like the trick here is in your countersteering.
GT4's physics are far more realistic and won't allow you to get the same kind of massive angle with full countersteerig lock, as was possible in GT3. It simply doesnt happen. Be content with smaller angles and make your countersteering smooth. I think this is the largest adjustment for most people coming from GT3. It was for me also.

Going to full-opposite lock, as it sounds like you are doing, will 9 times out of 10 result in the snap understeering effect you seem to be referring too. If you plan to recover the car from drift ease slightly off the gas and reduce your countersteer in a smooth controlled manner, until you have eventually go none. Always keep the wheels facing the way you ultimately want to travel. Countersteering with the wheels pointed at an off track location is useless. I know this can be a bit tough with a DS2, thats also what i use, it just requires practice and persistence.

Have a read trough the Drift reference i compiled with Swift, you might find the physics and/or technique section(s) of it helpful. the link is in my signature.
