weird glitch

when round my friends house the other night we was playing GT4 and decided to do a couple of runs round the test track. when going round the test track i pressed down on the right analogue and found that it made the car do rediculous speeds. in the end i managed to get a pagani zonda LM to do 2247mph and a time of 2.4seconds down the drag strip :crazy: . has anyone else encountered this problem because it is a major one if i say so myself.
 
hmmm, i'll have a try of that in a minute!

(thinks will that work in a racing enviroment ????)
 
it works in races aswell. i'll try to get a screen shot to prove it.
 
Thats an Armax cheat. You got your Armax or other cheat device in Mem slot??
 
in that case I will not be trying it - since I don't own any cheat devices
 
the only time im going to even think of gettin a cheat device for gt4 is when ive done 100% oherwise i cnrt see the point of playin the game if you are going to cheat to win !

eeehhm but is it not so that when you press the right analog stick down you brake 💡
 
didnt do anything. probably a AR code like someone said :P

I don't own any cheat devices either, but if this information is correct, it is casting some serious doubt on some rather dubious records being posted around here, particularly since they have been accomplished within a VERY short time frame.
 
going to try myself. I want to know if it is possible.

That's when you push "down", not "press" down.

Each analogue stick, when pushed in a direction perpendicular to, yet towards, the controller acts as a button - R3 and L3.
 
sorry has anyone actually tried this, who doesn't have a cheat device ??
I guessing not, correct me if I'm wrong.

its one hell of a feature if its been left in :)
 
I just tried it in an NSX, but to no avail.

Seriously, why would they leave something as simple as that in?
 
there's no cheat device in his ps2. i think there is something up with his copy completly. he started off with like soo much money you cannot give it a specific amount he has that much. he has got the PAL version. i really want to get a screen shot because i was in doubt when he told me but then i saw it for myself and was left wondering what was up with it.
 
These are both known AR Max cheats from codes, they can be found on the AR Max site

AR Max GT4 Codes

The Turbo ones even states that you need to click on R3 to activate them, and the Max Cash one would provide the silly amount of money being mentioned.

It is not possiable for just one copy of the game to start you off with a different amount of money or contain additional features to every other PAL version, your friend is using either a freebie cheat disc from a magazine or an AR Max device.
 
This is fast forward for replays and is a standard GT4 feature
 
obviously cheating makes you an uber driver because when you hit 100% you instantly can drive perfectly and win every xlink and 2player battle by default and also get huge bragging rights on an internet forum which is definitely something anyone really cares a lot about.

or it just saves you the bull**** of doing things you don't want to without making you any better or worse a driver. it's not like anyone will actually get good if all they do is go BLAR f1 VS SUNDAY CUP I WINNAR. so get over it. or go beat them in a race and laugh. jesus.

lol cheating does not make you and ubber driver :dunce: it just means he decided to take the easy way out of the game. :dunce: think before you post.
 
I would point out that it's amazing how some people are unable to percieve sarcasm, but then I think maybe it's me that's missing it.

AR MAX does have the turbo codes... i've got a cheating game and a non-cheating game. I have equal fun on both, so let's stop arguing whether its good to cheat or not. it's your opinion.
