you using the ds2? (regular controller) cause you'll want to learn to use the joystick and be careful on the gas. :)

yea thats what i am using a ds2 with the rubber band, so be carfull with the gas and control my counter steer

yea i like to come up with good titles lol

pump the gas and control the angle of the slide using the throttle and steering. You spin out cause the AWD requires a steeper angle to drift than the RWD and you're using too much throttle when you slide.

close enough to a 240sx -_- its called 240sx in gt4 '93 its all good well heres gt3 240sx drift...

i used these settings but tweaked them a lil bit so here it goes or so nice to see someone still drifting in gt3 ;)

Nissan 240sx (S14) 500hp

Parts to buy:

All you can.

Settings:

Spring Rate: 12/9
Ride Height: 86/86
Shock Bound: 7/7
Shock Rebound: 7/7
Camber Angle: 3.0/1.0
Toe Angle: 0/0
Stabilizers: 1/1
Brake Balance: 14/4
LSD Initial: 52
LSD Accel: 52
LSD Decel: 52
Gear ratios: i forgot but set the auto trans all the way to right (alot of speed, less slippage iono how to say it but yeah... set it so u can get top speed its very easy to drift with this. (rather then like switching 5 gears for a long drift when u can switch just about 2 or 3 n still drift long like the video i have ;))

ASM:0
TCS:1 or 2 (try them out mostly preferred 1 since it gives u some traction so u dont spin out while drifting :))

Tyres:
the ones that come stock with it XD perfect...

try them out if they dont work then its most likely u just needa practice some ppl can get it quick (like me in 1 or 2 days) n sum ppl have to practice for a while till it clicks or gets the hang of it well g2g hope this message post can help & sorry if i suck at explaining cuz i do... :sly: latez!

o and i forgot  u know u said u use the rubberbands for countersteering etc... try without it okay? i didnt use any rubberbands its just the angle, speed, and braking that u enter in it lets say the different techniques u can use to enter a drift (Feint, Braking, Over-Power,
Lift-Off Oversteer, OR JUST USE THE DAMN HANDBRAKE ONE LITTLE TOUCH OF IT N BOOM A PERFECT DRIFT COUNTER STEER UNDERSTEER I DONT CARE CUZ I DONT GET THEM AS LONG AS IT DRIFTS DAMN!!!... :sly:

http://www.dur.ac.uk/r.g.bower/PoM/pom/node31.html

and i still dont get it after reading this cuz i dont give a damn as long as it drifts then im happy with it latez :dopey:

Drifting RWD is a lot different from 4wd. With 4wd, the front tires will help pull you out of a slide, while you don't have the fronts helping out with RWD. Here are my suggestions.

First off, settings n whatnot.
With the tires, I'll almost always go sims all around. With the 240, this will definitely work. But, you'll have to take the hp down to around 250-300. High HP will have you spinning out all over the place on slick tires like sims. If you want to go high HP, you'll need grippier tires, and this won't let your drifts be as smooth. Also, turn TCS and ASM completely off. ASM is a hinderance, and TCS is trying to keep grip while you're trying to break grip.
Your suspension is actually rather irrelevent. If you wanna play with it, I'd say harden it up, others would say soften it up. Your choice. LSD can be helpful, but it isn't necessary in this case.

Then, actually driving.
So, if you can drift the Evo, you can get it out and drifting. When moving fom 4wd to RWD, you're gonna spin out a lot (as you've seen). So, keep the angle down to start out, and be careful. You won't be able to just churn the tires on opposite lock like you can with 4wd. Go easy on the gas, and be gentle with the steering. Try not to opposite lock early on, or you won't be able to hold a drift through the whole corner.

There's my 2 cents.

Keep at it, have fun :)

Man the only way 2 really enjoy drfting FRs is with Sims. I have an FC that i drift using sims, 250Hp. Used 2 use high power cars with super soft tyres but sometimes entry speed used 2 be 2 fast or i would spin out till i learnt that sometimes toio much power is not good, 200SX with 490Hp was my best drift car. Soon as u get throttle control going, it just happens naturally. Now just gotta learn chaining more than 2 corners.

Ohh, i also drift a 4WD, a blue evo5 but not with sims.

OMFG thats a lot of front camber, and like the stabilizer are like high. And also its not good to drop your car to the ground. Itll bottom out everytime you brake turn or gas and make the suspension act all weird like

If you have your suspension hard enough, the car will not bottom out.
Stiff stabilizers to reduce body roll when flicking car left to right and vice versa.

I love camber, makes the car look sexy and helps hold the car sideways at high speeds. With minimal steer play and just throttle control.

Different ppl different style, but whatever the setup. You gotta have a 2way diff.
