Well, while on my little path to 100% completion, obviously I have to do the Time Trials (and I still have the @#$%&* Complex String!)... anyway, I was having some trouble with the Tahiti Maze TT; I consistently ran laps that were off by about 0.5 second.
I had been trying for weeks, so in disgust, I decided to try it with an auto (now those of you who know me well know that I am a big advocate of manual trannies, but here comes the weird part)... the first lap I tried with the auto, I actually got 1st place!
Quite strange, because under normal circumstances, I put in faster times when not using a slushbox... but for some reason, the auto allowed me to shatter the time by about 1 second. My theory is that because I didn't have to concentrate on what gear I was in, I was able to concentrate more on swinging my rear end through the hairpins effectively...
Has anybody else experienced this? (BTW: This does not mean that I will revert back to slushboxes... I'm still a manny tranny fan!)
