The music on gt3 really sucked. They should have put more rap songs and none of those techno and rock shlt. And there is no better example of a rapper than Mase. Yup, he is back! More rap songs in gt4 would be great and make the game fun to play.
 
Any true car lover will turn off the music and just listen to the car engine.

I disagree, rap doesn't belong in Gran Turismo. It would change the whole attitude

and plus techno is great. but I never want to hear mase in Gran Turismo
 
Since this has extremely little to do with Gran Turismo, I'm moving it to the Music board. I agree with this, though:

of course EDM sounds good in a driving game just like rock and rap, you just have to have certain songs to enjoy it, and since every one has different tastes theres no point in disscussing this. thats why you just turn the music off and listen to the engine.
 
Each person has there individual tastes. You (obviously) like rap music, so you (obviously) would prefer GT4 to have rap music. I prefer rock music, so I want (decent) rock music in GT4.

With that said, rap would not suit a car racing game at all. I think some upbeat 80s metal is what it needs. Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Anthrax, etc, etc. However, the only cast iron solution is to allow a custom music playlist via the PS2 harddrive thingo.
 
I say that maybe there should be less rap music everywhere. the have gotta run out of rhymes pretty soon(hopefully) then America will begin to listen to rock music again. And GT4 should have lots of Metal. that is music to drive by. maybe some metallica, Slayer, hatebreed, and on the Rock side, some Velvet Revolver, maybe some AC/DC, stuff in that area. and rap will die pretty soon, I have a feeling. if the hottest new rap song is about some guy being back and the main lyrics are "welcome back" thats the sign of destruction. rap will be over just as fast as all the other fads that came out of the 90's.

:odd: I guess you've never heard of Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five, Zapp & Roger, Kurtis Blow, or DJ Jazzy Jeff? All great examples of 80s rap when rap actually meant something and wasn't just about the most expensive cars, biggest platinum ****, platinum teeth, ho's, *****es, fly ass women, and cristal.

I don't see why more games can't have awesome soundtracks like the Tony Hawk series.

I've got to say that rap is the most amazing fad I've ever seen. Any fad that can last 25+ years without any indication of stopping, is OK in my book.

I totally agree. 👍 Everyone has their own preferences, but that doesn't mean everyone else choices suck.

Love the THPS soundtracks too. 👍
 
This is one reason why the XBOX is good. Just load what you want to hear, and put it on your playlist :sly:
