SORTED (in part) SCROLL DOWN.

i moved from the UK to the US a couple of years ago, and brought my PS3. i kept using my UK psn, because all my saves and friends etc. my GT5 is a US disc. i bought the DLC with my US PSN in october, because PD promised they would fix it so all accounts on a PS3 could use it, no ifs, ands or buts.

NOW we find out that no, it isn't ALL available to all accounts, just the cars and tracks are, and also, the PSNs have to be the same region. no other game has ever done this, why the hell do PD feel like they need to play these kinds of ridiculous games.

bonus, now people who havn't bought the DLC can't use the tracks online.

half finished game, half finished patches, half arsed DLC. last time i'll spend my money on polyphony digital.

They promised 1 dlc is usable for all accounts on your ps3?? Havent heard about that unless your talking about the family pack.

The DLC tracks online was never said to be usable without paying for it.

family pack is what i'm talking about.

they may never have said you would need to purcahse to use tracks online, but it's incredibly ****ty to the consumers to not, especially when for some it is not even possible.

Why would they? Isn't that the standard? You want to use DLC, you buy it?

The regional bit you mention was also said by PD right after Spec II complaints arose. I understand your frustration with the region locking, but it certainly isn't news.

But they didn't say that. Very early on KY said that he couldn't do anything about the DLC region problem. The family code only unlocks the DLC for proper regioned accounts on that PS3

revised:i read the family pack FAQ and saw the wording was very misclear (in my excited state i read it one way, and after calming another) so i downloaded the family update and tried it. it worked, i have cars and tracks (but not the gear and paints i payed for) so we'll call it a wash.

i think DLC as a concept is the death of gaming. pay for an unfinished game, then pay for the bits they didn't finish in time. then pay for more bits. it's like buying a steak dinner, then paying extra for the potatoes. making DLC finicky like this is just worse.

Ironically, every time I make a steak dinner, the grocery store also charges me for the potatoes as well as the steak. Bastards!

I do actually agree to a point DLC is a terrible thing, but as long as we buy it, they'll make it.

relax, i read posts that the free family packs are available (by searching at least) in the store. you'll probably need to purchase and install like all dlc to get the family features.
