Well, my Eagle Board of Review was today.

And I passed. Now all I have to do is wait for the official confirmation from Texas, and I am an Eagle Scout. They said I will know for sure sometime in the middle of next month. I'm glad I was able to see everything through, too, despite getting crazy sick for the whole 3 weeks leading up to my project.
 
That's awesome! Congrats! Was the board of review tough? What did you do for your project?
 
Well, it wasn't tough so much as it was different than I thought it would be. I was expecting more questions surrounding my project, so I prepared for those more than anything. I got a lot more overall scouting career questions, and a couple of them tripped me up (one of them asked me why I didn't pursue farther advancement in the Order of the Arrow), but it overall went about as smoothly as I thought (presentations such as that really have no effect on me, and I fin them pretty easy to do).

My project itself was the organization of a blood drive from start to finish; including setting a date, gathering donations, creating and distributing posters/door hangars/fliers and actually running everything at the actual drive (doing registration, working the snack table and helping people around). I also did a telephone bank and an automated phone call.
 
Yea, the board I think is typically just a complete "are you worthy" session. There are actually websites dedicated entirely to questions that you can use to trip up a prospective eagle scout at his board of review. Some of them are nasty.

And it sounds like a pretty good project.

How much time did you have left? When do you turn 18?
 
What's the Scout Law? I forget.

Farthest I got was a Bear scout. I was hella decorated as a Wolf/cubscout thing though.

I would imagine that having completed everything, they aren't likely to turn you down. It wasn't much of a bad experience though.

It doesn't matter when you get your board in. I finished my project three months before, finished the other requirements two months before and turned in my papers three days before my 18th birthday. My board wasn't for quite a few months after. I think my one year anniversary is around this time sometime...
 
Not a commentary on any of you guys, but the two Eagle Scouts I know from high school are also two of the most dishonest people I've ever met. And one of them is now at the Air Force Academy. Yet one of my friends here at USC is an Eagle Scout, and he's one of the best people I've ever met.
