:Poke: You guys don't even realize how big this is going to be. We are going to break a record for online race gaming. When GTC goes online, think about it, F1king from victory circle, F2002 from UK, Kyle from Milan, Tn, FTO2Go from Ga, could all participate in the same race. The league would be huge :D The competition would great. We could actually find the best GTC racing on this planet. I am so excited I think I just had the big 'O' on myself(it would be the first time). Crowning the GT Planet world champion as FTO2Go. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. You may be seated. :cool:
 
ROFLMAO!!!! omg, that was too funny. yea, online racing will be awesome. But if your that excited, you should really check out some PC racers. Some really great stuff out there, and with add-ons made by people at home like you and me, they can turn almost any game into a success.

Currently i am totally immersed in F12001 from EA. The game stand-alone is...OK. But with all the add-ons i've downloaded, its bloody amazing! There are many other games out there with nice physics and great graphics recieving plenty of attention from would be game makers. Awesome stuff :)

Oh yea, did i mention that the online race community for PC racers is already HUGE? PS2 will have a hard time breaking any "records" for on-line gameplay. But, don't worry, I'll be there :D

People actually race Grand Prix Legends online :) I've tried to enter races, but I get disconnected because of my crappy PC and 56K modem :(.

It's great though, people from Scotland, Germany, US, Canada, all in the same race :). I need a new PC! :p
 
Don't hold your breath guys, I reckon realistically were gonna need to wait quite abit yet :clock:

But when we do, International GTPlanet Members battling out is going to be a dream come true :earth:

I hope we can do it all inside a dedicated GTP server, would that be able to work? 💡
 
Well, I am really lazy. :sleep: Who knows the url for that online racing league? Maybe I'll go visit and see what type cars they race and what tracks they race on. Thanks in advance.

I know you guys know and it will save me about 2 days of searching. :)
 
i think most people use GameSpy Arcade and race on dedicated servers. Or they run a private server and race with buddy's. i know there was a website that provided hook-ups for people wanting to race. but i forget wut it was, and i think it's closed anyway. I'll see if i can find anything for ya.

Actually, there are programs that connect everyone onto the same track... The one used for Grand Prix Legends is called VROC (Virtual Racers Online Connector -- or something of that sort)... So all you'd need is the Gran Turismo CD, a decent PC, a reliable connection, and after you downloaded said program, you'd be set :).

You will play online with your PS2, but you have to have some kind of centralized server. I have full intentions of running a GTN server as long as Sony does not restrict the game to their own proprietary technology...
