Confirmed everyone +1 on NTSC equals 505HP so lets go drivin!!!!

10:12PM: Just did a run, llike driving these race cars at near their original specs. Suspension, brakes etc are set for the original HP and weight and when you add lots of HP and lighten it to the max the car doesn't handle near as well as with the stock specs. That's just my feelings on it.
Finally getting the course to flow, it usually takes my addled brain about 40 or 50 laps before I'm braking at the right spots and feeling the course. Feeling comfortable now so I'm gonna go run again, nice length of race , it's a nice change for a week.

Hey guys.. I'm back from my schooling so I can afford to spend more time around these theads..

Over at the GTBN, is car was mentioned on a combo last year. And even though there was a massive power gap the results weren't that big. I came 3rd and a NTSC user was 4th only -0.1xx behind with the same mods.

I've just popped over to the WRS forum, and searched for the Fairlady Z being used.

Wk 51 : Re-Start your engines, hosted by Tedahur (AKA Flat-out or Cyril) came up in the search.

In that race the NTSC guys were set to +18% and the PAL to -3% both at 590 Hp.

So obviously PD in their infinite stupidity, made the NTSC version of the car much slower for whatever reason.

So 505Hp @ +1% (NTSC) or -17% (PAL) is DEFINITELY what we are going with!

Neil

Good catch on uncovering the power differences. A few of the Driving Missions have NTSC/PAL discrepancies regarding the amount of time allowed for each mission. This is the first I've heard of any Hp differences. Wonder if the PS3 has similar differences. Very interesting.

See you all at the track 👍

Been having fun with this one Neil, it's short enough to run several times in an evening. Never had much experience at this course but once I got the feel I'm really liking it. I'm sure I'll run several more times but I'm about at my limit so I'm just looking for a second or two on my total time.

Fairly certain that I have the NTSC/PAL difference balanced out!

Drew and I are VERY close to each other in times usually, and it is no different now with +1% & -17%

A total of 0.201s difference over the 30 lap race distance, and 0.025s on the fastest lap!
I just have to say, I'm the one...........in front! ;):D

Think that should put it to bed, eh?

Neil

Did you say it's time for bed? Great my back is killing me...too long at the gun range and too much bending while painting my tires...yeah really I paint my tires, it's a long story and not worth telling :)

Dels times will be sent within 12 hours from now .. have to try a 3rd attempt here .. after losing 3+ seconds due to traffic chaos after the second pit stop .

I sure hope my total time is .201+ faster than the Guinness King .. but i somehow doubt it .

EDIT : Times sent {no traffic problems} .. Dels computer is having problems , so if i go incognito .. it's getting juiced .. {back online when possible}

Ohoh, just realised the deadline is tomorrow, I think I'll try a couple more runs even though I'm at my limit but as Neil pointed out our times are super close to each other. I know Neil's gonna run again if he even suspects I am so I better get driving, then to GVS for the Super GT quali.

EDIT: Watch out Neil, just had a very nice run, we're not .2 apart after 30 laps anymore. Then again maybe we are, I'm sure you've rerun since we last compared. Should be a close one for all of us.

Hey my Premium logo just came back, nobody's were showing all day today.

EDIT: 1hour later. Forget the times Neil, had another go at it and I think I'm finished, too bad ,I just figured out a section I was having problems with.

Time entry closed!

Results up in the mid-late morning as we have to go to the hospital early in the morning for a scan of the bab, so early night for us!:grumpy:

New race up tomorrow night!

Neil

That's a shame Laz but at least we don't have to worry about you:) Why don't you send them to Neil anyway, it won't count but at least we can see what you did! Or post them here before Neil posts the results.

I agree with that!
Just PM them to me Laszlo.

Neil

RESULTS UP in 2nd post!
Laszlo, do your thang, and I'll edit the results post accordingly. OK?
Next race up in a couple of hours!

Neil

You are really great guys but I think it is unfair to send my time after the deadline,so I write it down here and Neil will give me a DSQ for that.

Here it is:

Total time: 30'07.448
Fastest lap: 55.864
Pit strategy: 3X7 laps RS's + 9 laps RM's,3 pitter

No worries Laz, but I have to say that, that is an impressive time there! Nice strategy too!

Bet you'll remember next time, huh? ;)

Neil

:ouch: Silly me, missing out using the RMs.....Ah well, I didn't drive particularly fast and it wouldn't have changed much.
Great close racing at the top of the leaderboard though, well done to everyone! 👍

And the mystery prize is: a Boot To The Head:D

Congrat's to my bud's Andy and Marty for 1st and 3rd overall, and again to Andy and Cam for their 2nd & 3rd fastest laps! Nice close race in the end, with the first 4 within 5 seconds after 30 laps, and all fastest laps within 1.5 seconds.

Well done guys!
Thanks a bunch Tyre King. :D P4 in the competition with the 3rd fastest lap is not a bad achievement for my first time out, IMO. I pretty much had to stretch it on the RM's so that I could have a reasonable last 2 stints on the RS's. Here's hoping I can add a few more WES races to my racing portfolio.;)
