Ok, for this second race, I thought I would sort of take things up a notch, and give an airing to one of the less used tracks in the game.
Plus use one of the better variants of an old favourite car that I haven’t seen out and about for a while either.

So, without further ado, and even less prattling, I give the following race for your delectation.

There are still not enough qualification times in yet to enable me to split us into divisions, so again this race is a balls-out, straight up, shoot-out for the win and podium places.
Results for the WES#1 “Clarkson Challenge” will be posted in the morning.

Mode : ARCADE
Race type : SINGLE RACE
Location: CITY COURSES / SEOUL CENTRAL : REVERSE
Car: JAPAN / AMUSE POWERHOUSE / AMUSE S2000 R1 ‘04

Initial Settings
Transmission : Your choice
Aids : NONE
Tyres : SPORTS SOFT
A.I. : +10

Now go into the options screen, and adjust the settings in ARCADE to the following:

Number of Laps : 40
Tyre Wear : STRONG
Driving Aids : NONE
Penalty : SPEED LIMITER
Time Limit : NONE

Exit, and now go into the quick tune-up section, and change the settings to the following:

Power : +20% @ 310 Hp
Weight: -10% @ 1008 Kg
Top Speed : N/A
Driving Aids : NONE
Transmission : Your Choice
Tyre Type : SPORTS
Front Tyres : SPORTS SOFT ONLY
Rear Tyres : SPORTS SOFT ONLY

You will now be set up for the race, there is no qualifying to do, just the race!

DEADLINE :
numberoneaq1bvm2.gif

Midnight GMT Sunday night, November the 11th

RULES:

You must use the settings laid out above at all times.
You must try to keep 2 wheels on the track at all times.
An occasional off is to be expected, but use your judgement and morals to decide if you have gained from it or not. If you have gained, or feel that you have taken an advantage from the off, then please bin the race and re-start.
A.I. contact is allowed, but NO penalties are allowed.
NO wall contact is allowed.
All podium times will be verified by the posting of either a replay or a photo of the screen showing your final time AFTER the deadline is past.
Any suspicious times will be investigated by either myself or where appropriate an NTSC user of my choice.
All decisions of the Administrator (me) are final, any cheating of any kind what so ever, will be dealt with in the appropriate manor.
You may discuss any splits or individual lap times, just not your final times.

Times should be sent to myself (Tyre King) via PM by the above deadline, as marked by the GTPlanet PM system time stamp.
Replays and screen shots should be posted in this thread after that time has passed.

Time sending format:

I'm off to play pool for the evening, I'll post my proof in the morning.

Good pick Neil, Seoul has got to be the fastest city course, with only 2 big rights and an "S" curve, exit speeds are vital. Love the Amuse except for the gearbox, just shifts too slow for a performance car. Anyway a level playing field negates all shortcomings, so let's have at it!!

It' nice and easy to get out front, turn two is great,if you hit it just right and get thru those barriers in third gear it feels so good. It's a one pit run and the Amuse handles great for its class. A great example of exit speed takes the day. Don't fret too much on corner two just set yourself up for #3 and get a good third gear exit speed. Lots of fun Neil! Oh yeah...BUMP

Well,I finished this one.
About corner two::yuck:
I hit the wall on the inside curb countless time. Finally I have a clear race.
I must say that Neil is a sadist...but I forgive him.:)
I didn't enjoy this race very much but it was challenging.👍

Done this one already!

I have to say that I found it challenging too, and think it probably would have been better to have gone with my original idea, but I wasn't sure everyone would have that specific car unlocked, so I went with the Amuse instead.

The original idea was to call the race " O Seoul, O Mio!" and use the Opera Performance S2000 :)

Would hate to disagree with the race director :nervous:but will anyway 👎... considering the ptw advantage of Opera S2000 {tried but it didn't do it for me at the party} .. it is definately not the choice car .
The Amuse looks better , sounds better , corners better and its more an enjoyable car to drive 👍... a perfect combination of car/track from the race director imo {for whatever its worth}

The Amuse GT1 .. now .. there's a real beast ! {heres hoping we get to use it this series}

Yeah! I see where you are coming from there Marty.

There is plenty of scope with this format, that's why I started it. And that's why I started the suggestions thread too!👍

And thanks for the praise. It's hard thinking of and testing combo's with other people's tastes in mind.

Neil

Hopefully I can get around to running this this weekend, looks fun and it's one of my favorite cars :)

Time submitted. Not real happy, just couldn't get a rythem going, no consistancy, 3 second variable in lap times....horrible.

Results up!

Congrat's to Lazlo for 1st & fastest, and J.R for 3rd! 👍👍

Neil

i'm REALLY that slow? WOW! looks like i have to step it up. Congrats Laz, but you've officially put a bullseye on your car. :) wtg all

Hey Laz, you're getting too good for us!! Congrats to all podium weiners..er winners. I really stunk up the course on this one, probably the worst performance I've ever submitted. Not that I haven't come in last before, but never with so much sucky driving.

Thank you,guys.
Hey,Andy.I don't think that winning by only 3.5 seconds is so much so I am not too good for you.
You said: probably one of the worst performance you have ever submitted.I agree. :indiff: but I know that you'll gain speed.👍

Neil!
I sent my replay to your private e-mail adress as a verifying proof.
Take a look at it,please.
Thank you.
