Early in my first time thru the "Game" I forgot to take note of which "Ride" I used at which "Venue." So I've been going back & re-running some of the Early Races. I've also started trying to win some races with the "Prize Car" (Stock) awarded there if it's NOT an automatic "Blowout" (ala Minolta @ El Capitan! :irked: ) The most successful to date is the SAUBER vs the Formula GT guys.

This AM I discovered something quite "Strange" & some of you might like to check it out. I was running at SPECIAL CONDITION HALL (NORMAL) / Tsukuba Circuit (Wet) in the MAZDA Atenza Touring Car '02. It only had a few miles on it & I vaugely remember running it at Rally d' Capri a few times.

Apparently the last time I'd driven it was BEFORE I'd discovered the little box where you turn "Off" ASM & TCS. In the two tight "Rights" & to a lesser degree in other turns it was like it had an "Onboard Computer" that couldn't make up it's mind what to do! Lots of "Lurching & Grabbing" for traction is the best I can describe it. Perhaps it was because of the Wet Tarmac as I don't remember anything "Weird" about it's handling in the "Dry!" At any rate...I removed "ASM" & "TCS" & everything went back to "Normal!" 👍 ...O.G. :D

yeah, that's the asm...they apply the brakes..lol
THANX FC3Sleepah: 👍
I'm well aware how ASM works but what I was noting is that it's Far from it's normal "Smooth" application in THIS Ride & THIS Venue...O.G. :D

I was driving something small and tailhappy - maybe my uprated Elise - on dry pavement at Sears Point, when I forgot to turn off the ASMs. On several occasions it literally just chucked me off the outside of the turn when the Oversteer ASM jumped on the throttle to counteract my mid-turn lift.

:eek::eek: So it DOES have a similar effect on "Dry" Tarmac, eh? Maybe what I felt was more pronounced because the MAZDA Atenza Touring Car '02 is "AWD"??? ...O.G. :D

Yeah, I was taken aback when I saw my cars accelerating in corners when I wasn't on the gas when I first started the game :odd:

Exactly. I first noticed this when I started using the Rally in Capri to build up some starting cash when I first got the game. That corner going into the back/dark section of the island gets me almost every time when I forget to turn off the driving "aids". Almost like your accelerator is stuck. I first thought it was replicating spinning wheels, but realized it was actually accelerating after the first five times.

The diary doesn't tell you which car you used to win a race with, to the best of my knowledge.
CORRECT! 👍 Plus it only lists your Fastest Lap...NOT total Race time! 👎 If there was only ONE THING I could have gotten PD to save from GT3 it would have been a way to "Freeze" the screen After the Race so us "Serious" players could record the pertinent information!!! :irked:

THANX ppucci! 👍 The Diary would be SO MUCH more usefull if they'd have just added total Race time & "Ride" used! :trouble: ...O.G. :D

I'd've loved it if PD had kept the scrollable lap time recordings at the end of the race, like they had in GT1 & 2. That way if you were doing 60 laps you could see which was fastest, even if it was lap 3 or something.
If they'd also have allowed the entire field to complete their lap at the end of the race to give us a complete lapping or MOV picture that would have been good. But then why're we picking hole in something that's just awesome fun at the end of the day?

THANK YOU FOR THE INFO!!!!!!!!!! I did not realize that having the driven aids set does this. It happens to me all the time and drives me crazy. I though that it was the DFP or something. Next time i race I am turning those suckers off. Again thank you. to bad you can't turn them off during the mission.
