What about the release date ???

We all hear alot about the next version of GTP. But what I am really wondering, is when its gonna be release ??? Is there any date you guys (the staff) can give us ?? I myself been a webmaster and I know its a lot of work, and I always cant wait to see the new features, new look, etc... of the next version of a website. I'm really excited when a new version of a website is announced, so thats why I'm asking it.

Thanks for the kind words. Jordan tends to have an "it'll be ready when it's ready" approach to new GTP rollouts - he already cancelled GTP 7 and has moved on to GTP 8. However, it does seem to be getting closer these days.
 
Well, you know, creating a new GTPlanet is a lot like creating a new GT game - it takes a long time! At least I'm not teasing you with constant new release dates like KY! :p Seriously, though, to give you an idea, I have completed the redesign of the main site and the forums. Now I've got to start on GTP Lite, and then the final stage: the Wiki. As you know, the Wiki will take center stage in the content area of our site (no more static car lists and FAQ's - it will all grow and change each day to become the ultimate GT encylopedia available anywhere!), so I have a lot of work to do to get it ready for prime time!
 
See, you could have edited that yourself as soon as you saw it. That's the problem, but also part of the beauty of a Wiki. Why didn't you? Did you just not know how, or did not know that you were able to?
 
I was going to edit it, but I wanted to show you what was on there first, and I wasn't logged in at the time. :)
