What are some general things you can do fix the Gr.3 Stock Tunes?

Without going too far down the tuning rabbit hole. What are some quick adjustments you can make to the stock tunes that improve the car's handling? I'm a complete idiot when it comes to feeling how a car drives and have a really hard time feeling the results of any changes I make. What's something we can do to help sort out the crappy stock tunes?

I'll start with front/rear toe at 0.0, LSD to 5/15/20, and downforce to maximum on the front, and halfway between the stock setting and max on the back. Sometimes I play with the springs/shocks--I like the front to be softer than the rear. Then I use the LSD to fine tune it. If I get too much on-power understeer out of turns, I'll raise the LSD accel-sometimes quite a lot.
