What are the chances of getting competitive times throughout GT6

The timing system which allows you to compete with friends during seasonals and license tests, to be implemented across the board. Career races and more importantly in arcade time trials.

I can't understand why a 'Friends best' time isn't a feature throughout.
 
What do you mean ?

The AI should drive as fast as your friends or you want to compare the race times to your friend's ?
Race times are difficult to compare because they vary a lot because of the "dynamic" AI.

For time comparing there is the issue of SRF, tires and tuning.
The current leaderboard system is useless because it does not take that in to account.
 
Having a career race leaderboard can be both good and bad. On the good side it shows you how you did compared to your friends on the bad side it prompts you to use an over powered car which make the races themselves less interesting.

Forza 2 had this and most of us liked it. I did every race in career mode at least twice in order to improve my overall rankings. They removed this as of Forza 3 and added a lot more races and a race calendar so to speak at which point I found the career races pointless and ran less than 1/2 of them. on Forza 4 I probably ran less than 10% of them for the same general reasons. To many boring races, no leaderboard on them, no prize cars, no fun. Better to just race online and totally ignore the career after Forza 2.

I enjoyed career mode in GT6. I went through every race and only found myself bored on one race SSX like the wind, just mindlessly driving fast in a straight line is not very interesting. Fortunately it was just one race and only took a few minutes. All the others were fine.

A leader board for these would be cool but a hot lap leaderboard would be much better
 
Career is it's own beast and it is not a deal-breaker to not have competitive timings associated with career races. I would like to see it personally. It would be nice to see your time for a given race from the initial menu screen rather than a Gold trophy though.

The arcade time trial is one that should have an online leaderboard system comparable to the Seasonal events. Understood that car, tyre and assistance settings are all factors. Times can be set how you and your friends see fit. This week Ferrari, next week you choose ;)
 
There was a mention of a feature that will let us do online time trials which sounded like we will be able to create them in a private/public lobby if so that would be cool and may carry a leaderboard with it :crossing fingers:
