What brand/size are your tires:

What is your vehicles layout: FWD - RWD - AWD - NA - Turbo/SC - Nitrous

What type of performance driving is your vehicle used for: Drag - Autocross - Open track days - Street

On a scale of 1-5 rate your tires performance level:

Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's - 195/50/15

FWD - Turbo

Mostly street right now, Street/Drag later

Overall I would rate them a 3. I have not had a chance to heat them up and attempt a hard launch but so far so good. They break away clean and have strong traction when warm. At under $70.00 per tire the price/performance is unbeatable.

Goodyear Eagle LS -235/?/16

RWD - NA

Mostly street and some dirt road driving.

I would have to say these are the worse tires in the entire world. There is no hydro protection or grip on the dirt. The rubber is really hard, which makes them noisey as all hell and they are 36,000 mile tires since they are almost gone. I would rate these tires a 1 outta 5.

Nitto NT-555R Drag Radial 315/35/17

RWD - Supercharged

Street driving only.

These tires suck. I've used them in the past on a nitrous'ed WS6 with less power, and they hooked great, but on the Cobra they were slightly better traction-wise than the factory Goodyear Eagle F1 tires - which really sucked ass. Even when heated they would still spin like crazy. I only used them for a few days before I sold the Cobra to my Dad, but in those few days they were disappointing at best. I really wish I would've gone with BFG Drag Radials, or MT E/T Streets.

uh... ?

Brigdestone Potenzas 910s - 195/50/15 (S or T rated?) Just as good as the 16,000 I got out of those retarded ass yokahamas I had. :odd: (that was a waste)

What is your vehicles layout: FWD (boo hoo... I can't kill myself on the street now)

What type of performance driving is your vehicle used for: N/A :odd: Learning and improving control, better yet so my car can roll?

On a scale of 1-5 rate your tires performance level: 2 (as good a the yokahamas though in performance)

I'm going to pick up a set of 205/50 BFG DR's within' the next couple of weeks. I've heard a lot of people hype the **** out of them, so I hope they live up to it. Your Nitto's had too small of a sidewall..

What Yokohamas did you have?

Bridgestone Teranza LS-T 175/70/R13 82T
FWD N/A
Street/Spirited street :)

I'd rate my tires as a 4. My 323 use to have Teranzas, the fronts were like 5 years old, the backs were like 9 years old and even they handled really well on the car. My new Teranzas are tons better though. They grip very well, smooth riding, and when you feel the need to shoot up a clover leaf at 50mph they'll do it.
My dad bought em through the Mazda tire service, with his discount they were like $43 or something. Pretty damn good for good quality tires.

Ohh, forgot to say that my dad had originally ordered what were said to be the same tires as the teranzas my 323 had...they came in, and we went up to the shop on a Saturday at like 11PM to put em on...my dad got a matching set in the size of his RX-7 wheels...these tires were trash. The sidewall fit fine and nice, but the tread was a good inch and a half skinnier than the sidewalls which just made the tires look like crap, and it was obvious that with this difference in width these tires would handle like crap. That's when we ordered the good teranzas for me and my dad ordered these Fulda Avluo or whatever because they stopped making the good Potenzas in his 14" wheel size. The Fuldas are great too and were like $47 a tire or something.

I went with a 35 series sidewall because the only other 17" tires they had came in 245/45 and 275/40. I wanted a wide, fatass tire with a bigger contact patch out back so I went with the 315 with a smaller sidewall. I really should have gone with the BFG's, though. Way better dry traction from what I've heard - they just have a ****ty life span compared to the Nitto's.

Mums Mini has 165/80/10" on all four tyres

Yep, its FF

Seeing as how i dont drive the car, i would give these a 3/5. We've had some pretty funky understeer through corners!

S2000: Bridgestone Potenza S-02's

F: 205/55WR/16
R: 225/50WR/16

So far so good. They haven't seen track use yet, so I can't comment on that, but for day to day street driving, they're top notch.

CRX: F: BFGoodrich G-Force T/A Drag Radial
R: Toyo RA-1

F: 205/50R/15
R: 205/50R/15

This thing goes in a straight line 95% of the time. The Drag Radials aren't bad, but I think I'm making too much power for them... time to go with slicks.

Civic: Crappy ass no name generic 13'' tires.

Never bothered looking at the size on those, honestly. They suck, so they'll be gone soon.

Toyota Corolla, FWD, 4 door Hatchback.

Front: Firestone 175/70/13R
Rear: Continental 175/70/13R

Tire: Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 712's 255/40/ZR17
Rating: 8/10
Car: 91' VW Jetta GLI Wolfsburg Edition (FF)
Use: Rally/autoX/Touge

These tires grip rediculously hard, and are fantastic wet and dry weather performers. I live near Seattle, so it rains a bit, and these tires can handle it just fine........ The only problem being that they are Z rated, which means they have sick grip, but won't last me long......

;)

Bridgestone Potenza RE-92s 205/55/16
AWD Turbocharged
Autocrossed once on 'em, mostly for around town.
2 Maybe? Okay year around tire. Nothing for performance, but they're not bad by any means.

I want to get some Kuhmo MX 225/45/17 when I get new wheels.

Josh, why did you sell your Cobra?

Also, Silvia, I think "Z-Rated" means how fast the tire should be pushed to while "xxx" treadwear is how long it lasts.

-Fulda Extremo, 225/40/18
-RWD, Naturally Aspirated
-Street use
-3.5

I didn't buy these tires because I wanted them, I bought them due to necessity as my BFGoodrich KDW2's meet an untimely demise. So I needed tires fast. But these tires turned out to be a pretty decent set.
Offer above average grip, decent wet weather traction and maintain a quiet ride. Much quieter than the BFG's, but I would have rated those a 4.5. Those tires offered VERY good traction, good wet weather feel and had a really agressive look to them. I miss my BFG's. :(

Falken GRB - FK-451's - 215/40/18

FF - NA - Slow (97 Honda Accord lx)

Daily Driver

I'd probably rate the tires a 4/5. I don't have any complaints with them at all except for the excessive road noise which is expected with wider tires. I haven't really done any aggressive driving with these tires though, due to the fact that the car is so slow (and it's an automatic). If I had it to do over again, I never would've bought 18" wheels/tires in the first place, but it's too late to worry about that now.

*****. Quit being a poon, get the turbo kit, and have a conservative tune put on it for the lowest altitude the car will ever see.

Josh, why did you sell your Cobra?

I was quickly bored of the power, or lack thereof. Plus, it just wasn't the car I really wanted. A low mileage single turbo, or twin that I'll convert to single, Supra is being hunted down as we speak.

Right now my G35 Coupe is on the stock 17'' tires...

Goodyear Eagle RS-A
Front: 225/50/17
Rear: 235/50/17
RWD/NA

These are quite awful tires, there is virtually no wet or dry traction. I'd rate them 2/5.

BUT, at the end of this week, after I get my new wheels, I will have new tires which should be much better (they should, at more than $300 per tire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)...

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S
Front: 245/35/19
Rear: 275/35/19

I can't wait!

'93 or '94 accord (the insurance papers are unclear)
front wheel drive
The tires are something I call "El cheapo crapo". The treads are full but the tires slip too easy - especially if I take a turn too fast

The brakepads are perfect for all you speed demons. You can mash them as hard as you want and the damn car won't even slow down :)

on a side note, I woke up at 7am on my frickin holiday to go with my mom to the family business with the hopes that my bro would help me drop off the car at the mechanic. But nooooo, our safety is of no importance now, is it? :irked: I really hate driving this car because of the damn brakes.

91 Talon TSi

205/55R16 Dunlop FM-901
Dragway traction - 4
Dirt Traction - 4
Rain Traction - 5
Tarmac Handling - 5
Overal - 4.5

(Winter) 205/55R16 Bridgestone Blizzack LM-22
Snow Traction - 4
Rain Traction - 3
Tarmac Handling - 3
Overal snow tire - 4

I can't afford it right now. I've saved up $2.15 so far, only $9997.85 left to go. :(
My birthday is coming up in a few months though. I'll PM you my mailing address so you can send me a big fat check. ;)

Hey Jordan, are you getting something to lower your ride to go along with those wheels?

Kumho MX 225/45x17 F ; 245/40x17 R

RWD M3 sedan, retired autocrosser

On these tires, street use only.

4.5. Exceptional value. Dry grip is on par with Pilot Sport and S03. Tire has superb breakaway characteristics. Very easy to control and feels almost like a R-comp in terms of stability and tracking. Initial quality is excellent. Can get a little greasy when hot. Gets loud as it wears in. Haven't weight it, but it feels like a heavy tire. Big tread blocks are stable, but doesn't allow for much water excavtion, so hydro-resistance is not good. Overall a great tire considering the price.

Goodyear RS-A 225/45x17

FWD Jetta 1.8T GLS

Street use only.

3.0 OE tire on sport pack Jetta IVs. Average. Stable and predicatable. Squeels like a pig when leaned on, but otherwise benign and reasonably capable as long as you don't expect much. Pretty good ride and sound quality. Feels capable in the wet. Haven't used it in mud/snow. Not a bad tire, but I won't be coming back to this one.

'01 Celica GT-S
FWD NA 1.8L

Khumo somethings
255?/55/16
Street Use only (so far)

4/5

Like I said, I'm only doing daily street driving. but when i have pushed it, the car seems to really grip. Well, except this morning i took a turn a little faster than usual and the car actually slid slightly (way cool feeling:D ). Oh, and it's too easy to chirp the tires when starting from stop ;) even when i'm not trying :O

'87 Sliverado
4x4 350ci NA

Super Swamper (Interco)
36x12.50x16.5
On and OFF road

5/5

Great tires. They are super soft and don't last long, but when you have them on your weekend warrior it doesn't matter. So far I haven't even come close to gettin stuck. Most of the time I tool around in 2 wheel drive (when off roading) and never have a problem a touch of throttle won't fix. and in 4x4, so far I'm unstopable!!!:D

Michelin

Part-time 4WD (Jeep Cherokee w/ NP231 Command-Trac x-fer case)

Offroading :D

4.5

They're about 6 or 7 years old, have had a couple hundred thousand kilometres put on them, and still have some tread left. Fantastic durability, except for the passenger side rear which decided to up and die one night on the highway. :irked:
