I'll be buying the Fiat Panda, and turning into a 'giant killer'
I had a white Panda as my first car, they are as bad as they look, but since they are so light and basic they make a fun car to explore the limits of its handling.

First one to blow the engine looses :sly:

I will be getting the Silvia `96 K's from the used car lot. If I transport over the game save I should be able to buy one of those and put a few non-powergaining mods on it like tyres, suspension and brakes. I think people should keep the Lupo to use it in the races to gain higher points.

That'll be the one that gets to the first corner first then.

Sorry to ask this if it's been asked before but what's the disadvantage of buying a used car vs a new one?

will mileage affect it's performance or something?

This is a good question since engines can be damage or ruined in GT4 unlike GT2 with used cars. A car with many miles on it should be cheaper but have shorter long life so it make the game far more realistic 👍

Engine damage! wow how come I haven't heard about this before! Yay!!

Is there a thred I've missed about this or do you know what affects it? overrev/forgetting oil changes/mileage...

I'm getting so excited about that game! :D

I'd be sorely tempted to start with an 86 MR2 G-Limited Supercharger, looks in at just under 800K, but at the same time, the mileage could make it bad value for money, awesome car though, always loved it! :)

I always start out with a '91 Prelude VTEC (too bad it was pulled from GT3). Hell, I liked that car so much in GT1 that I bought one in real life at the time.

It goes for about 700,000 Cr, so you can add a stage-1 muffler and chip to get you going. This will get you through some of the initial races. If you mod it to the max, it can reach about 350PS and even battle it out in the big leagues, with a little effort. Lovely car, I'm still fond of it.

This is also the car that caught my eye but now since I know you get a free car for bronzes with the liscence (a 1.4 VW Lupo with the first one) I'll use this as my first car.
