I only got to play it for about four hours (my younger brother rented it out for the weekend and it had to go back today) so didn't get too far into it.

I started with the Trueno and did the basic engine/suspension etc mods to it. Didn't find any exterior modification shops so it still looks stock from the outside - the way i'll probably keep it too.

Don't know when he will rent the game out again but hopefully i get to play it a bit longer this time. :)

I started with the 240SX then got the RX-7 and never changed since.

Started with the Vauxhall Corsa (mainly because it was the only Brit car there) and still have it. How does 445 bhp grab ya?! Top speed 215 mph! 0-60 in 2.9 seconds! Mad..
Second was the Mitsubishi 3000GT (GTO).

I want a Corsa... Stupid usa version. Haha. I got the 240SX.. I can't pass up a good lookin nissan.

Started with Miata and beat the entire game with Miata. I tried a couple other cars like the Mustang, Skyline, Lancer EVO, and nothing even came close to handling like the Miata. I did notice the Lancer EVO launched like crazy and worked well for Drag races.
Overall the Miata just blew everything away. 👍

Started with the Corolla...

Now I use a riced out Supra for Racing and a Mustang on stock tires for drift - Much easier to control than the hysterical Supra....

You can use basically any car thats available at the start all the way through the game if you actually use perfect setups for each kind of event.

Like most people here and in NFSU:1 I started with the Maita. Does EA have something going with Mazda?

Started with the 86. Moved up to a supra, now I'm driving an RX-8 (fully modded at the moment, still looks nice, not to much rice)

same here, started with the 240!

same here, i started and finished with the 240sx, wich by the way was also the car i started with in NFS:U, but i finished that game with the RX7 👍

Ronnn
I started with a Miata as well
Right now, I only have I/H/E, spring/shocks and ECU
ECU dyno tuning is so fun.
The dyno tuning, suspension, and all the other settings for the car that could be adjusted are what really made me like this game sooo much. If my car would max out in the drag strip, all I had to do was mess with the tranny gears to make it perfect. With all the available options to adjust the vehicles, it just made the game sooo easy. I set my car up sooo well for the URL races and the Street X races that it was impossible to drift at all. I cranked the downforce all the way up, turned the traction all the way up, adjusted the steering ratio most of the way up, then stiffened the sway bars. To top that all off I ste the tranny ratio for the quickest acceleration possible. I absolutely crushed the computer thru the entire game. Some of the drag races were close but thats all. I did every drift event on hard just to make it a little more challenging. :)
The best part was once the settings were set, they were automatically loaded into each event.

I started with the 240SX and then worked my way using: 240SX, Hyundai Tiburon, Nissan 350Z, 3000GT and the Mustang along with a little bit with the Lancer, but I used the Mustang the most. That car kicks butt, it may not handle all that well but its got the speed to make up for it.

Oh and in 4 days I beat all the whole game except for like 5 races. Yes, I have way to much time on my hands. :)

Started with the Miata, just like I did in NFSU1. Is it just me, or does the Miata simply OWN in Street-X? I found myself able to lap my competitors toward the end, even on hard difficulty.

Off topic/That is why I haven't gone out and bought NFSU2. I think that with the fact that I don't have much to do would lead to the game being completed in about 5-7 days. And I'm not going to waste my money on a game that will last a week/On topic
Isn't the Neon in this? I'm suprised that they didn't sling the SRT-4 into this game. I started with the Neon in the first game.

Corolla->TT->Supra=>the acceleration bar of the supra is ful!!!TT was good to. :)

BTW=For those who are driving the Skyline=>The car is ugly and it's slow!(all bumpers do not fit on this trash thing)

I started with the civic, left it stock except for performance for fun and most of my racing, and then I riced out a celica for the crap that you have to do where you need a high visual rating.

Through all of my career i only used 2 cars. My first was the 240SX and the i bought an RX8 which i think i managed to get to about 230mph. I havent played in a while but i remember seeing something like that on my speedo.

I started with the Trueno, good basic car. I love the tuning in this game, probably one of the few things I like. Sucks the the STi (or is it just the WRX?) is the last car to unlock. You unlock it last because it's the best car in the game!
