Seems like a lot of drivers have some nice cars (or bus passes) in real life, so I figured it's time for a thread.

What cars have you owned/currently owned?
Favorite car?
Dream car?
What would you do with your car if you had to move to the UK?
Any other comment you would like to make about your car...

I'll start...

1994 Ford Probe GT - black with gray leather interior (very rare), drove throughout high school (my dad bought 1 car for the 3 of us to share); surprisingly fast top speed, OK handling, but terrible transmission. This started to fall apart so we sold it for $500 a couple years ago.

1993 Mazda Miata Limited Edition - my sister was looking for this, so I bought it in Colorado and drove it back for her. I got to drive it for a month before the semester ended. This was the first car I ever took on the track (best day of my life). My other sister crashed it, so now it's gone.

1994 BMW 325i - I bought this after freshman year of college. It's now my all-season race car (ice racing in NH, will drive full time next year with COMSCC time trials). Approaching 200k miles, strong as ever (conveniently the TCS and ABS don't work - which is WAY better at the track), and during the summer I just leave the track pads on the car.

1995 BMW M3 - coupe, Avus blue, absolutely amazing condition. I just found this a little over a year ago (been looking for 2+ years for a deal one one of these). Only a couple thousand ever came in this color (really nice blue, not the electric/baby blue). I couldn't help myself and took it out at NHMS open track for a few laps, but it will never be a track car. Only 50k miles - I will baby this forever.

I actually learned how to drive on my dad's 1969 Ford Country Squire LTD wagon. It had a 429, and he put a 5-speed Tremec in it. He used a dryer vent as a make-shift cold air intake, and the thing easily made 400hp on a cold day. It was a blast learning to control the back end of a 4400lb (entirely front heavy) wagon with rear wheel drive in the snow. Also, learning to heel-toe as a measly 16 year old boy with a dual disc clutch was a beast. Once in a while he let me borrow his 1969 Shelby Mustang G.T. 350 clone (with 479hp) - probably to teach me "throttle control." Both are gone now, and he got a 964 generation 911, which he graciously let me drive at time trials and HPDEs over the last 2 years.

Dream car is probably the 911 GT3 RS, with my dream track car being the 911 GT3 RSR. Once you drive a 911 on the track, nothing else compares - the challenge and reward is like no other car. If I had a suitable garage, I would love a kit GT-40 (from Super Performance) or a 1965 Shelby G.T. 350.

I probably would keep BOTH the 325i and the M3. I figure I'll be back eventually... Worst case I'll let my Dad drive the M3 as a thank you for the sweet cars he has lent me over the years.
