I was just lost in my thoughts before (I was totally spacing.) and I was thinking, how cool the Citroen C6 is. I really wish that there were still French cars sold here. Oh how I would love a new Citroen in my driveway if I had the cash, and the ability to buy one. :ouch:

So what cars do you miss from your market?

Oh god, here come all the people saying they'd love a skyline here. xD

Anyway...

Alfas and Fiats, mostly. Maybe Renault, but they killed AMC, so I still hate them inside. So, Citroen. Especially since they didn't leave so much as they were legislated out.

Aston Martin Vanquish or TVR Sagaris

Bolded cars are either out of production or here in one form or another. The TVR is probaby here on the grey market.

EDIT:

On AMC while I'm awake:

Had they survived, they probably would've been selliing the Spirit and Eagle into the early 90's. :scared: The new for 1998 AMC Concord!

You can grey market anything, so I don't get your point.

You say that like it is a bad thing, rather than the totally awesome thing it really is.
Imagine it: A Volvo C30. But RWD.
A BMW X6. But not an affront to BMW owners everywhere.
The Concord is kinda scary, but who cares when AMC was so awesome otherwise?

I guess someone must be importing them as "kits" and putting a transmission and engine in them, much like Noble.

Citroën, Peugeot, Renault, Škoda, and SEAT would be neat enough, but I could live without seeing them here. Alfa Romeo I'd genuinely like to see, but they're coming here soon anyway. TVR would also be good, but they're rumored to also be making an entrance soon.

If anyone does, they may want to reread the thread topic. Nissan has already been selling cars here for years, currently sells the Skyline here, and will be selling the GT-R here.

They aren't Left hand drive and in my book that ain't selling it here.

The current Skylines aren't "Skylines" they are Infiniti...

Uh...what? What are you referring to?

Nissan could call it the "Langosta Tripede" in the american market for all I care. It's still a Skyline.

Well if grey market is included then nothing, because we can have anything really if you want it enough and have the cash.

If grey market was not included, then I probably would want the Skyline line of cars return to Australia again.

*EDIT*
BTW I didn't choose Skyline because of any "OMG SKYLINE!!" factor, Skyline has had quite a history in Australia mainly in the form of family sedans, we even used to build them here.

I would like to see the Skyline back in the what is now "The Australian V8 Super Car Series" Seeing as they where kicked out (rules where changed to make them drop out)

Not being Australian and not having a V8 will probably rule them out.

The V8s used in the V8 supercars are completely unrelated to the V8s in the road cars. They're not even the same capacity. Stupid rules keeps other makes out.

I was like to see a few more American brands here, like Cadillac, but since we're getting the CTS now I don't know if there is anything I'd really want. Except maybe the Solstice.

I just want a VW Polo GTI and the Ford Mondaeo in some form or another, I know we sort of got it as a Contour years back.

This thing is twice as wide as you think it is. Easily Zonda C12 width.

Really took me by surprise when I saw it at MPH07

You never specified details/rules but still, I've NEVER seen either of them in person here.

The Vanquish was sold here. I even saw one before Doug. :P

But they are Skylines. Just a different name. There are also a few GT-Rs running around from grey-market importers.

We have the Mondeo over here. Infact, my Dad used to own the Mk2, and my taxi driver who used to drive me to school owned the Mk3. The Mk2 with a zetec engine (the one my dad had) had amazing accelaration for a basic 1.8 litre family car!

PS: Joey D, you spelt Mondeo wrong. It is spelt Mondeo!

The car(s) i would like to see come back is the 3rd gen supra,300zx Z32's,and the trans am's.But i dont want them to really go **** it up with the retro look on the trans am.

:dunce: oops

-> I'll have three, these will be my perfect USDM garage:

(My wagon will be included with these three)

2008 Acura CSX (or the Type-S) [Canada]:
acura_CSX.jpg

^ The closest thing to the Asia-spec Civic 2.0 S (K20 160hp). Way more tuning options compared to our US-spec EX.

2008 Misubishi Pajero 3-Door (Diesel) [Japan]:
2007mitsubishipajero3door.thumbnail.jpg

^ Its more sensible than that Toyota FJ and a lot more capable than the Xterra. And a gas mileage that is on par with the Escape Hybrid.

2009 Honda Jazz/Fit 1.3L VTEC [Philippines]:
honda_fit_01.jpg

^ This is the model that will not arrive here in the US, with a Hybrid-killing gas mileage of 65 mpg. (est). And a lot more sensible than the Smart Fortwo.

:)

Maximum w00tage on the Fit, as I'm hoping that it truly is that much better than the outgoing model. I love that car to death, even without driving one. Really strange for me...

What is wrong with the outgoing model?

Alternatively, I want the entire Montero range back.

Absolutely nothing, but I have heard very positive early reviews on the updated Fit. I absolutely love the Fit, and if I had the cash, I'd easily skip over just about every car I want (to replace the VW) to get the Fit Sport...

Fit-> Nothing except the lack to the 'true' entry level model, the 1.3 iDSI L13 engine and refining its driving postion (the 2nd gen will fix that). I never liked hybrids that much because of its uncertain relibility issues plus being boring as it could me. :indiff:

Pajero/Montero-> I agree, the stupid people at Mitsu US didn't care. Instead, they've brought the Endeavor in which is a useless piece of bulk. And Mitsu's diesels are no joke either, they rival Isuzu in diesel supremacy in JDM-land. :)

^ If my wagon was still stock, I'll 'downgrade' to a Fit-S too. Make mine white w/ black interior! ;)
