This type of people is what we call 'road eagles' - drivers, who don't seem to care about other people. Ofcourse it's awesome to drive fast trough empty city streets, but when you slam into a family car and drive onto 10 people waiting for a bus, it becomes tragedy.

Preaching to the choir. The director of this film well acknowledged all of this & accepted responsibility. Rumor has it he was arrested during the first screening.

I read somewhere (probably Wikipedia because it's very reliable ;) ) that he would have called off the run if there was anything that would have caused harm to any pedestrians or other cars. But still he was pretty lucky to not smash into the side of a bus.

Fun Fact: The engine sound is the V12 of a Ferrari 275GTB dubbed over to make it even more epic.

Driving at 90km/h in the city + dubbed engine sounds + dubbed tire screeching sounds + low camera = driving at 170km/h.

Yes and the best part is that the car actually being driven in this only came with a 3 speed automatic transmission and you can obviously hear the driver shifting into 5th and the engine reving a lot higher than it should be.

Pff...all those amateurs uploading their stuff to YouTube. Visit Paris and take a taxi at the airport - tell the driver "Vite, vite - j'ai un rendez-vous à Boulogne!". Have fun.

dubbing is misleading. You could feel how fast the engine revving but the video is quite slow.

I know you could kinda tell what gear the engine was in and by the sound of the engine the speed didnt seem right.
