1.05 is a pretty amazing update. It gives us most of the things everyone hinted and estimated would be included in GT5 as basics. So now they're (mostly) here!

Here's the full log as you can view it in the GT5 update notice section:

So what does this mean for online GT racers?

Seems like the leaderboards are only active for the "seasonal races". It would be good if there were leadboards for ever track. Then qualifying for leagues could simply run it through there.

You can now change the length of time left after a race finishes from 20 seconds to 180 seconds. That'll be good to give the backmarkers plenty of time to finish up. Not much else changed as far as options in lobbies go.

You can obviously now win xp and "rewards" in racing online so there's that whole new scene.

Anyone else find something new?

Excellent news! I've had two online 'endurance' races effectively ruined with great battles taking place throughout the field on the last lap because of that 30 second timer. So long as it's an 'option' I would prefer to extend it out to 7~8 minutes for tracks like the Nurgurgring, but 3 minutes is sufficient to cover most other tracks, save La Sarthe.

Or just use the main 1.05 patch thread. We don't need one here too.
