Alright then, when you just start out in GT3 and you're pretty bored with your current trueno (yuk) mazda mx5 (hmmm) or w/ever, which car do you buy next? Do you save and hold out for a Skyline, get a cheap Lancer, go for the rx7? I want to know how you guys lifted off your actual GT-career ;)
 
My 2nd car after my little Vitz\Yaris was the Motorsport Elise as i'm a big fan of Lotus.With those 2 cars i brought in the cash and was soon on my way to buying the 300,000 credit Renault Clio Sport Race car, which became my main car until i won the Toyota GT ONE road car. :D
 
I've only bought about 3 or 4 cars, I tend to only use the one's I win. My first buy was a Mustang Cobra which I ran in the Super Speedway enduro - won easily with one pitstop - won a C5R first time. That was a good way to start... :D

What's the matter with Trueno's and Miata/MX5's anyway, weirdo? :crazy: g.money, mr_pushrod and Danger Powers tell me they're great, especially with black go-faster bits! 😈

Mwahahahahah! Get in while they're not looking! :Poke:

I bought a Nissan 200SX, and fully modded it. That got me through most of the amateur level. Then I won the C5R at my first visit to the SS enduro...

And I used an Evo VII GSR to do most of the rallies.
 
I went with a Mercedes SLK230 Kompressor. Got me through the a bunch of Beginner races and the LotSAs. If I'd have known better, I would've taken the Tuscan; but I didn't have the necessary licenses to take advantage of it at the time.

I used it a TON. ;) I took the cheapest lancer possible and basically turned it into a Race Car. :D
 
First I fooled around a lot with the Trueno but decidec to start again with the mx5.. After that my first real car was the Mustang SVT Cobra R, tuned it to the max and won a lot of races with it (highest mileage car in my garage)..

Can't remember how I came by it but I landed a Skyline R32 GT-R S tune - once I tuned it it won me a LOT of races...
 
The Lancer doesn't earn 20K/race or it would've been a first choice. That's why I went with teh Benz. And the fact that I could get the CLK Touring Car, then the Shigeno Trueno, then win the 80's races... etc. It was all part of a design scheme I had at the time.

My GT3 life story:

Started off with a Miata, won me a few races (never tuned/upgraded it).

Later, sold the Miata and bought a Subie (Impreza WRX STi Sedan)... i did minor upgrades, namely a turbo stage one, sport suspension, etc, but for the most part kept it the same.

Then, bought me a nice Tuscan Speed 6. Luvly car...

Sold the Impreza, and bought a Rally Impreza... used for both rallying and road races, though my TVR was more suited for the road races.

Sold the tired Tuscan, bought a new one and fully upgraded it.

Won a Camaro Race Car (pure luck!) and raced the hell out of it. Sold the Rally Impreza and Camaro Race Car, and bought an Escudo.

Conclusion: I currently have an Escudo and a highly tuned TVR.

Luvly lil' story, ain't it? :P

My second car was the cheapest Lancer, the Lancer Evo VII RS. But my real dough-winner was my Mystic Teal Camaro SS, which I won from the Beginner League Stars & Stripes Cup using a modified PT Cruiser, which was my first car.
 
I've just started a new game, and my first car was the one i won from the B Licence. (Mazda Mx5 1.8i)

The only car i've bought so far is a Toyota Altezza RS200.
 
I used my Miata to get some cash, than I made a big mistake and went for power so I bought the cheapest power i can find Mustang SVT, what a pieace of ****!!!!!!!! but I did make some $$ with it, but the car that kicked some serious ass was the Tuscan speed 6. That lifted me to the next level great car.
 
I bought the MX-5 and then got the GT3000, did a few races with that and then won the clio race car and used that to clean up most of amatuer races.

Having fun with an RX-7 at the mo :D
