It's frequently associated with stress... I've had a few of those dreams before. I also used to have dreams of massive tsunamis when I was under stress. It was weird, though, because I clearly remember being both panicked and exhilarated by the sight of a massive wave heading straight for me.
My least favourite type of dreams are those which really have you fooled that you are awake. I've had an actual 'lucid dream' where I've dreamed that I got up and spoke to my flatmates, until I 'realised' that I was actually still asleep. Thank God I didn't feel the need to visit the bathroom
