I am a student. I don’t have any income, but I don’t lose money either, my parents do… :lol:
 
I'm a Senior Technical Design Authority for a major IT Consulting firm. I have overall responsibility for all technical aspects of the service we provide to a major public sector client. And that's all you're getting from me.

The salary is pitiful, but even the CEO of Shell's salary is pitiful in comparison with the stipend Jordan gives Super Moderators.
 
I am a Project Coordinator for a precast concrete company. Most of my work is done with AutoCAD but I have many other duties including estimating, scheduling and quality control. Imagine 50,000# pieces of concrete legos. We make individual pieces of a building and ship them to the job site to be put together.

I think I will also pass on how much I make, but after being with the same company for 14 years I can say that I do just fine. Some benefits I have is the company buys us lunch everyday. They also on average have put 10% into my 401k since I have worked here. The best benefit of all is the yearly bonus that on good years is a 5 figure number.

Nurse/Clinical Manager. I make near enough to keep my second and third kids in college, and pay for fuel for 5 of my 8 vehicles. One isn't being driven, and two are being fueled by their respective drivers that have pretty good jobs of their own.

You also live in California, which makes everything worse. No state income tax up here. You ever consider Boeing? :D

On a side note, I've always noticed that hourly employees have no trouble stating how much they make, but us salaried folk are quite defensive and coy about it. It's an interesting taboo our society has.

Anyway, I'm a painter at a machine shop. The job is fine and can be fun, but the working conditions are awful. I can say with certainty that all of you would disapprove of my boss as a person in general. We're in a conflict right now. He's one of the most undesirable people on this planet. Probably the only reason I'm still there is because he's an idiot...err...my dad is a machinist there. But I need to start looking for a new job.

Kyle, I think most high-paying jobs are salaried. It's easier that way. Plus, all you guys who drive a 3 when you could be driving a Porsche are kind enough to keep me, the guy with the Del Sol, from being jealous and wondering what better you have to do with your money. 👍
 
It's true: we tend to use money as a measuring stick, which is ridiculous. In general, I'm more curious about what a certain job pays more than what a certain person makes. Still, even around my college buddies (also engineers), I wouldn't dare ask "The Question", nor would I truthfully answer if anyone asked me.

I identify opportunities/businesses/market segments for investment and manage an investment portfolio. Basically I try to make people money and not loose any :)
 
Legal Secretary for 1 Partner and 4 Solicitors, dealing with land claims. Love my job, its pretty awesome, although the money could be better!

Most worthless post ever.

I work at a Target. I usually am in the food avenue department, giving people hotdogs and popcorn. Its not that bad, but I love it when i get to cover in electronics. I make $8.25 an hour, which is pretty good for someone my age. I also attend a local tech community college, after two years, Ill probably transfer to UNC @ Chapel Hill to pursue my career in dentistry. Specifically, i want to be an orthodontist.

I'm a humble train engineer in training, working for the Belgian national passenger rail operator. Right now just over halfway through the 16 month program and making basic train driver pay, no hourly wages, but after taxes about € 1400 / month. This will increase when training finishes.
 
I work in the meat department at a grocery store. $8.50/hour, averaging 20hrs/week. Also a student. Kind of depressing. That's $170/week, which is painfully pathetic.
