I followed Acidman's advice and today I have brought my PS2 here. I will plug it later; I have a class at 9:30. After that, I will play. I brought GT3, so I can continue making some progress. I have been going really slow.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything. But I just hate skaters. In my school, the sk8ers are a bunch of wannabe's, who think there all that. They can't skate bull**** as much as they can talk it. That's my perception of them.

I'm not saying this towards anyone here at GTPlanet.

Exact what the kids at my school do. Thats also the reason I don't like them...

I sure hope I didn't offend anyone.

Wow, too bad. Because you did. I'm guessing you've never tried to skate or got on a skateboard and said it was "gay" or "stupid." Do you realize how much pain and practice we put into getting the least bit good? Loads. Loads more than you'll get playing basketball, thats for sure. Skateboarding takes loads of effort and isn't easy in the least bit. So don't talk **** unless you can back it up. And who cares if the skaters act like that? Thats how lots of different cliques act when other people see them.

Look, even if I wanted to skateboard, im not gonna pay a $100 plus dollars for a peice of wood, metal axels and plastic wheels. I rether make a skatebaord out of my tree and pay $20 for the axels and plastic wheels. I know it takes loads of effort, but do it to show off and make yourself awesome is not right. Now if you do it for fun and you wanna just compete at a park, thats cool with me. But showing off and acting like a asshole to prove to other people you are good, is the reason I don't like skaters. They all seem to act like assholes thats all.

You dont hate skaters, you hate show-offs its not the same.

Yes, after barely being able to stand up on a skateboard after trying on a friend's board I have respect for those people that can do any kind of trick! But like Crayola said, show offs are found in any sport and they're not all skateboarders.

Sunny, why the hell do you call them, "sk8rs"? Is that the latest fad?

Rollerblading then? I don't know if I could do that though, I have to have a some gloves, a stick and a puck to skate around.

Well I was 215 lbs at the time and to add on top of that I spent my money in my first year of college on pot instead of food, thus I broke the stereotype of having the "minchies" quite well. . .

To add to this debate over the "skaters", I inline Aggresive skate and have been doing it since I was around 13 when rolller blading first came out. Yeah I'm old school to that extend. Now, I look up to these Skateboarders, Bikers and Aggresive Skaters that risk their nuts pulling or praticing a wicked move. I can no longer bounce up from falls anymore and when I hit the ground it is always hitting the ground hard. As for the "poseurs" I totally dislike them and at the same time feel really sorry for them because the fact they think they need to be different then themselves to be liked. When they finally realize what a selfish world we live in, popularity becomes a figment of your imagination. . .

Uh, it takes longer to beat GT3 than just 7 hours. Are you forgetting the Endro races?
Oh yeah...Forgot about enduros. Those would probably take more than 7 hours alone! You could probably beat most of the other races in that time, though.

I know exactly what you mean. I've been forced to give up skating temporarily until my wrists heal cos at the moment they have this annoying tendency to become real painful for no apparent reason. I still do a bit of flatland but I wont be able to attempt my last stunt for a while after taking several a falls attempting to 360 flip a 6 set of stairs. I really want to though because landing it and a few more grinds and stuff could mean a (rather minor) sponsorship deal with the local skate shop which would make buying decks alot cheaper.

This is the best pic I hav until I get a capture card:
