what do you like most about your vantage v8?
what colour and wheels did you go for?

this car is an absolute beast. I am going to have to do some serious tuning on the suspension me thinks. it just has so much power. I put semi-race suspension,t2 tires, chip and racing exhaust on it and by god it flies!!!

colour = silver w/ black wheels...
it looks wicked.
my new favourite maybe? :D
after fiat that is :p

My colours are
Silver/Black Rims
Green/Gold Rims
White/White Rims
Red/Silver rims
Lighter Blue/White rims

All but the white one is stock, but they're all my favorites.
I drift with the Green and the Silver one, and even if the drift doesn't go as smoothly or as nicely as I hoped, in the replay, the car just looks so beautiful it's almost hard to notice, not only that, it's by far one of the most realistic stock cars in the game, the body roll is almost identical to that of the real Vantage in most of the aspects, if you slam on the breaks the front lean is more noticable in that car, and it stops so effotlessly aswell. Awesome awesome car. My new overall fav, followed by the Mine's R34, then the 22B

yeah, i dont drift much, but drifting this beast is effortless!

i have the suspension dialed up just a touch and it runs like tha clappers!
but plant it too early in the corners and out goes the back!
man its gotta be love!

This was honestly the car I bought GT3 to drive, and I just discovered it recently, it's a shame I didn't find it earlier, all the other cars are pretty simple with the exception of say the Clio, and the Elise, they're pretty much "Hey I can use a joystick so I can drive it and win the race fairly easily" This car you actually have to practice with, and that's what I find my most joy in. Seeing my progress with an actual difference, none of this "My laptime at midfeild improvved .001 after 40 laps" I want to sit down monday, run a 1'30 lap somewhere ALL day and learn, then sit down tuesday and run a 1'24 then wednesday a 1'20 and so on.

damn.....now i feel like driving it again, but my nephew has my GT3:(

fastest lap with a unused DARK green vantage, stock tires 4 laps at midfeild so how many miles is that? Speedo says something like 29 or so. But just an oil change, TCS - 1 ASM 0 1'20.972

I guess I'll have to give the Vantage a try sometime, but I must say I've never even bothered to buy one.

I mean, it's the HEAVIEST CAR IN THE GAME. The other 2 Astons and the Mercedes CL 600 are the only things that even come close.

Best lap time at midfeild for me with another NEW vantage, oil change, EVERY mod other than suspension, breaks, tranny, LSD.
Ran 1'12.379

oh and on "Sport Tires"

If I could tune suspension!!!!!!!! I could easily be runnin near the 1'00

BadBatsu, word of advice...Give it more than a "Try" Because I gaurentee your first impression will be "Oh this is gay" I know it will be and I can quote you in the future on that. But take a good 20-30 minutes learning it's breaking, it's gears and all that and you'll love it too. Then after you get a good lap, watch one of it's replays. Then you'll fall in love with it, as I have.

Ahh... If ever there was a quote that could be taken out of context

I hated the Vantage V8 in GT2. I mean, it weighed as much as 2 Miatas, and spun it's wheels in every corner.

So has anyone who's had it in GT2 and now GT3, comment?

The Vantage V8 isn't exactly a great car...for a few reasons:

It's heavy.
It's heavy.
It's heavy.
It's incredibly underpowered.
It oversteers way too much.

I wouldn't recomment this car to anyone unless they're using it to win the Trial Mountain endurance, in which case, I used my Vantage V8 to do so.

you call 550Bhp on a standard car incredibly underpowered:odd:

what does the Vantage put out when FULLY worked like the R34 Vspec II, i bet you it doesnt put it to shame

and It's incredibly underpowered is very harsh

700 some hp. That's nothing. It's power to way ratio is not only incredibly dissapointing, it's incredibly low! Sorry dude, but you're wrong on this one. An R34 would smoke the Vantage any time.

i didnt know it only produced 700 or so hp fully worked, i thought it would produce much more for a worked twin supercharged V8.
i that case i agree it has bad power to weight compared to the R34

Ya dude, that thing is a tank. "ONLY 700 HP" haha, it's always funny saying that because at a certain point, people are so used to hearing high powered cars that it builds up sort of a tolerances...

Of course it's only a game. Hell in real life, I'd take a Vantage V8. 'Cept i'd want to make it a tid bit heavier with some 20s! :D

That's it i'm going to test the cars now...Someone gimmie a GOOD racing setup for a MAXED out R34 1100 Odd HP, and i'll compare it to the Vantage
