What does GT5 keep installing?

I've done the optional BIG install to shorten the time it takes to load events and such, but yet for some reason on certain races no matter how many times I enter them it always says "Installing..." in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. What does it keep installing over and over and over again? Anybody know because the amount of time it takes to navigate the menu system is driving me batty!?!
 
It install some things the first time you click on them. The game's DLC "unfolds" as you use things. That way the full download happens at the first install and is about 7GB and then after you complete the game it is about 10GB/
