My missus can't stand Grand Theft Auto! She hates it when I play it cos of all the violence. Might be something to do with the fact that she's a nurse. I simply can't play it when she's in because it upsets her too much (that's OK, I play it whenever she's on a late shift or on nights).

What about everyone else? Does your better half get upset by all the shooting, ho' humpin', police baiting and pedestrian squelching? Or do you have to fight for the use of the PS2 in your house?

She can't figure out the controls, but she loves watching me play it. She can't stop laughing. :D

Seeing I'm still a minor, and my parents don't really care... They just want me off the computers and PS2, so they get upset when I'm on hours at a time killing paramedics and stuff... I play on our good TV when my parents are out and about, working and shopping and other stuff that gets them out of the house, but when they're home, it goes into the basement, where I don't come out until a few hours later, or until food's ready...

My Dad is used to violent games but my Mum still needed a lot of convincing. But that was a while agom we're all happy about violent games now. Then again my family is not that interested in games, and you have to respect that.

A couple of months ago, my Dad tried his hand at Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 1. Lost. Poor fella, he still keeps the demo of Quake 3 on the system and wonders why theres no servers.

My parents wouldn't let me play GTA3 anymore, after I clubbed down that police officer.

Ah, well...

NFS:HP isn't too shabby on the computer if you have the settings all cranked up, is it? Oh, and a thing you should do to help your Pa out with Quake: steal a friend's copy, burn it and use their CD Key, then give it back to your friend saying "You accidentally left this here the last time you came over"

She just shakes her head (and, I suspect, secretly laughs).

Ha! A sadist! She should get together with Doug's "better half" some time. :)
