Searched but never reached a specific thread. So I thought, just for laughing, to gather all the opinions of our girls on what they think about it.

There are at least 3 that I can enumerate right now.

- You are making a flying lap. Just before that über-complex curve, she stands right in front of you and start asking trivial questions like "Do you know where coffee is?" If you persist to play after the answer, she keeps asking you all that well-known issues concening to clothing, dogs, dinner and etc.

- She thinks that you are a fanatic. When you both leave the restaurant at 23:45, streets are free of cars and, therefore, more enjoyable to drive in. You start making curves fast, apexes and etc. She says: "Oh Dear, please go slower" All right, you go slow but keep apexing all curves and blocks and tiny streets. "And stop doing that".

- This was said in this forum before. The silent treatment, my friend, is one of the worst things that a girl can make to you while you are playing GT4. I prefer to hear she speaking to me some minor issue (not that I am paying attention) than knowing that she is mute because of the game. She wants attention and GETS IT by making me getting worried on how to fix things after that endurance. Laps gets slower, AI reaches you and you keep getting worried.

Is that just me? Want to hear from you guys.

Actually my woman supports it completely. She likes watching me when she's not playing Oblivion or something. She's a gamer, just like me. :D She thinks I'm a dork, but I kinda am, so it works out. Plus she drinks beer and likes driving fast. AND she's hot! Not like 10/10 hot, but definitley a SOLID 7.5, maybe an 8.

Yes. Mine is also a beer drinker. She just does not supports me answering "a-ham", "yes", "...".

She used to play PS1 a lot and i really addicted into games like Soviet Strike. I remembered she wrote full maps and quickest routes.

As for the fast driving, she suffered a car accident years ago and that's the reason of her being so afraid.

My wife doesn't mind as long as I am not putting off other stuff when doing it. My dog is actually worse than my wife. I have a German Shepherd, she will sit at my feet for about 10, 15 minutes then get bored of the annoying pedals clicking and wheel 'whirring' and pretend or 'fake' chew at the a the pedals till i pay attention to her.

I guess I'm pretty lucky. My wife thinks I'm weird because I spend so much time playing one game but she doesn't give me hard time. She is also very careful not to walk in front of the TV or talk to me when she sees I'm in tight race.

I don't have a GT addiciton I enjoy the game but I don't play it that often, so my girl doesn't think anything of that. She doesn't mind me switching the PS2 on every now and then, but we spend far more time watching movies together than I spend on the PS2.

Me: "Just two more laps."
Her: "At the Nurburgring, again?"

Basically, my wife thinks it's weird that I don't really play any other games, but then again, I don't have that much time. The GT2 web site I made many years ago really ticked her off, though. I just remind her that I've only had one speeding ticket in the past six years, and she's otherwise pretty cool about it all. After all, I don't spend much on games (about one title a year).

Wow, I never knew that even adults play games, I only thought that teenages do. Please don't be offend by this, im just amazed :)

My woman(my mom) is pretty cool with it.. unless I spend ours on it.. she just shuts the electricity off in the house:grumpy: . But other than that its all good.👍

Ah but you have to remember that some of us old timers (I'm 35) have grown up playing games.

I can still clearly remember loading games of tapes (as in cassette tapes) for my Spectrum, now that was hard work, and the young 'uns of today complain about a little DRE.

Gaming has been a hobby of mine since I was around 11 or 12, I guess I'm just part of a generation that see's it as a social activity.

My wife is not a fan of driving games or sims as she struggles with them, however she is a total Singstar and will spend hours belting out tunes (and I have to confess I do join in as well :scared:)

I play when my girlfriends at work, and whenever she calls, she knows what i'm doing right away. I think she likes it though, because she knows if i'm at home playing GT4, then i'm not out cheating on her. Its a win/win situation.

When my girl gets jealous about my "private" time with GT4, she'll sit on my lap and start bucking hey body in this realy exciting fashion that makes me crash all over the track. Or she will start to, um, fondle my joystick (not my dual shocks). But most of the time she gets mad that a game could keep me so interested. Yea, college life is fun here at UCLA.

Hahaha that's funny ^^..oh well, you guys are lucky, My GIRL, is in Italy right now, and i'm here in New York, and the only way we can see eachother is through the web cam, and my computer happens to be almost next to my TV and PS2, so guess what I do most of the time even when i'm talking to her...yes, and she hates it! I understand of course, but she swears that when she comes to NY (like in 2 months) she'll DESTROY GT4 and my PS2,...guys, I'm not a crazy gamer or something, but the GT series have been the only games that have made buy the consoles just to play them, but if my girl really gets pissed off, you know to the point of having a real bad discussion with me and getting sore about it, then I'll definetely would have to leave......HER :D nahh I'm kiddin',I'd have to quit GT4 :nervous: :guilty: ....well that's about it, later guys, and wish me luck for when she comes :scared:

Ciao...

My gurl dosn't realy care as long as shes spent in time with me she fine. I tried teaching her how to play but she isnt really that great at it.Ok i admit she sux.And thats with the dfp kinda scary thats why i don't let her touch my trans am lol.< i tell her that everytime she plays.she just laughs and kisses me.

My girlfriend just rolls her eyes and says something along the lines of "What am I gonna do with you?" But she just says it laughingly, and doesn't mind :)

Don't worry, I'm known to play Singstar as well; the 1980s version, but only when we're at college and only when I've had more than two Dark and Stormies.

I got my girlfriend into liking the game so she doesn't mind it so much. It's all about moderation really. If you are spending the weekend together and you play 10 hours of GT, then your real girlfriend might not be the one in the skirt. I always try to get my girlfriends into understanding why I like playing a particular game. Once they understand, they are usually more accepting of it. Anad again all things in moderation, A sunday might be I make her breakfast and hang out, play an hour or 2 of GT, then we go out for the afternoon. If I sat there playing GT all day then I probably wouldn't date/marry me either. In fact my current girlfriend doesn't mind it at all as long as it's not in excess. She doesn't even mind if I play a 4 hour session while she is there (I have only done so with alot of time, not short visits). It's better then watching TV like a zombie. It also depends on why you are playing. For some guys its the new age hiding at the bar scenario in a way. If you play to ignore her or constantly show a preference with spending time at the game instead of something with her, then your relationship is in the sand pit anyways. It's up to both of you to drive out of it or call it a season.

Wait a minute......You guys have time to be on the internet all day, play GT4 all day, work (I'm assuming) at least half time to afford it all, and have lives too????

lol, j/k.

I don't have a girlfriend.......I never have for some reason. I'm not gay and I am a hopeless romantic but for some reason none of the girls I've fallen for will be anything more than "just friends" with me......if that even. So I don't have girl + PS2 problems.....unfortunately.

Gaming, and especially Gran Turismo, is one of the main reasons why I don't really want a girlfriend that much. That is, until I find one who also shares the same amount of love for the game. However, as this is very unlikely to happen...

I'm just being addicted drifting with GT4 for almost 2 months. And from that time, I never meet my girl. I enjoyed practicing drifting more than anything i do before. She hates it.

lol, nice thread by the way:tup:.

Well, for me.... although I have my PS2 in my room, me and my girlfriend also spend most of our time in my bedroom.
So she sorta cancels out my GT4 playing time, but she is more important than playing GT4 at the minute:tup:

Snap - "Why don't you go and have a nice long bath dear?" - this is when i get to play GT4 (or which ever race game is flavour of the month)

:) Just asked my wife what she thinks of me playing GT and she said she doesn't mind, keeps me out of the way. Also she likes playing sims so she plays that on the laptop and i get on with GT. Have to admit got her to do the gualifier test oh boy glad she drives in real life better than she doe's on the screen:scared:
