As we have seen with the last few updates PD had added events into the career mode, most recently the Red Bull events.

In order to give us more to do and more choice in career what events would you like to see added in this way.

I think we need to have a formula Gran Turismo championship similar to the one in GT5
it could be a 10 lap 10 race event using mainly real world tracks.
  • Bathurst
  • Silverstone GP
  • Indy Road
  • Monza
  • Sazuka
  • Spa
  • Nurburgring GP
  • Fuji
  • Monaco
  • Motegi
The prize would be 100k per race +1m for placing first in the championship.

I think we also need more rally events to make use of the games assets, some of the lesser used street circuits could also fit into this championship. These races would be 5 laps.
  • Toscana
  • Eiger G
  • Chamonix East / snowing
  • Eiger K
  • London
  • Chamonnix - main
  • Toscana reverse/ dusk
  • + any point to point tracks that might come in future updates with the course maker.
The prize for this championship 600,000 plus one of the monster sport pikes peak cars.

Some more make specific events would be great too such as a Nissan Oval Circuit Challenge or an event for classic LMP cars on route 7.

What other races should be in the game?

A Formula GT championship should definitely be included. Perhaps with a premium Formula GT car?

Also maybe some actual endurance races too. 6 hours of Silverstone, 6 hours of Spa, Bathurst 12 hours?

PP-limited races where you get a bonus for every point you're under the limit. Just trickle them out, random courses, random PP/drivetrain requirements, nothing else. Just like GT5 Seasonals, It's all I can ever hope for.

There's no challenge in beating the overtaking challenges they give us instead of races, unless you're incentivized to use the slowest car possible. Trying to spank 500PP cars with a tuned 425PP was the most enjoyable part of GT5 for me (and earning 1MM credits for a 10 minute race isn't bad either!).

I'm REALLY hoping that when they start adding DLC tracks that they'll be added to the career mode, and not just stuck in arcade like in GT5. A big part of the fun is earning money to buy cars and when you can only use new tracks in a mode that doesn't pay anything, it sucks.

Hopefully they continue to add races, especially if they plan to release lots of car and track DLC. We know that they can add events, such as the Freshman Cup and the Red Bull Challenge, so I expect to see them add more (as they've already done in the past 2 big updates)...

Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (old and new versions). Another cool one would be Race Of Champions event. GT6 already have good car collection for both of these.

I would love to see something that would allow us to create our own races in career mode. There are always a few tracks that have only a few races on them and you are limited as to which cars you can run in them and be competitive. Arcade mode allows you to run pretty much anything you want but no prize money.

I would like to be able to set up a race in career mode on any track and be able to set a max PP and type of car allowed, the game could then pick the AI cars, determine prize amount and off we go. I would use this feature a lot and would play career mode a lot longer if such a thing existed.

I wish all the A-spec events had the bonus for being under a threshold PP, the reward would not need to be very high, but it is always nice to have game set challenges.
Nothing. Arcade modes needs an event creator with payouts. The ability to create championships, timed races (24 hours), track days, one make races, normal events, and such things.

I would love to have an event creator, and for it to have more options than that in Arcade. Even if to be able to pick whether a rolling start or not, and the PP of the competition. And it will make A-spec unlimited in length and replay ability. We can tune events to suit our time and abilities.

It is nice to win, but even better it is close!

I think most GT'ers would love the return of the one make races for most of the cars in the game. They were fantastic in GT4.

I would also like to see "Track Champions" where each track in the game has race series in 300pp,350pp,400pp,450pp etc upto a Formula one race at the end.

I know some tracks may be too small for say F1 cars but they could run upto about 600pp.

They could also run a race calendar where on specific days time trials with stock cars or race events with stock or tuned cars become available. You can see what is coming and
plan ahead.

Either of these give endless possibilities however with the current AI they will take some planning for PD. I honestly think it is the AI that holds back PD from putting in the one make races as they all have to planned ahead to give you a certain amount of competition.

Not events per se but if career mode is supposed to feel like an actual career mode, then the NOVICE races need to expand, greatly.
Not just 7 or 8 races in 3 series but 5+ series with 4-6 races each.
Karts alone should have a dozen or so races.
Take the amount of races in IB or IA and put it in NOVICE. That way you really learn the game with the slower cars before moving on to the fast racing. The way it is now, I feel the beginning stages are too short if we are meant to learn anything for the later stages.

Yes, there is clearly not enough low pp races. I even want to "race" with a citroen 2cv, the old vw coccinelle, ...
Semi endurances races should also be added (24 minutes, or 1 or 2 hours, with low pp cars)

I totally agree about the novice races. Lower pp races are great fun for most of the GT regulars however I think PD are again following the masses who want the fastest and shiniest cars in the game. That's why I think Novice is so short.

Give me the fun of a Copen race everyday and I'd be happy.

As I said earlier I think they could do low pp races on every track. Some of the best races I've ever had were group C races with our race club at the Nurburgring.

Again I'll say I feel that it is the AI's fault because PD have to physically find how far to put your opposition in front of you in order to make it a race.

I occasionally try to host lower PP level races online to make up for the lack of them in single player but nobody ever joins.
