Well I'm sorry if this has been asked, or if its in the wrong spot, but what has changed about the TGTT? Have the penalty zones been adjusted, or have they opened up parts of the track we couldn't drive on? (Most of the grass, main straight, etc)

It's the penalty zones around chicago. Because people were cheating in the seasonal event.

I was hoping that the run off zones would have been extended. You barely have to touch the grass before hitting the invisible wall of doom.

And before anyone says it...I know, if you're driving properly you won't go on the grass etc. etc. etc. but i'm not a very good driver on GT5 so I overshoot some corners.

Am I the only one who's glad they patched this track up at last? I refused to join Top Gear lobbies online because I knew everyone would cut 90% of corners and cheat...

I am too. I'm not the fastest on the track but after loading some of the old leader replays I realized it wasn't so much my driving but most were cutting the corners.

No, I also am glad that they patched the shortcuts.

I will run another clean 1:17:500 as I did before, and I heard someone say tire grip was slightly improved.

Learned the hard way that you have to get off the wall as soon as possible. The invalid laps keep adding up as long as you are out of bounds. I must have done 30+ laps before they started to count due to 2 misques on lap one. One trip into the wall does not = one invalid lap. Every time you hear a "bing" it means one invalid lap.

That was my time as well.

Yes, the grip was definitely improved.
