What got you into drifting?

Back in the days with Gran Turismo 2, I always loved to get my stock Nissan Skyline R34 and drive it off-road. I learned natrually by just driving through corners and not hitting the wall. I then practiced going sideways on purpose and loved it. I called it my "Sideways Time" before I knew what was "drifting". I liked to fooled my friends to think that I was going to crash but never did, I was always in control. Then came the Internet and I learned on youtube. All within 3-months, my life changed.

+At the same time, some of my cousins had Initial D episode Discs(they didn't know anything either). I was like "meh, boring kids show". Then after I learned what was drifting from youtube and I was curious of my cousins Initial D epsiodes. Now I like it.

I keep seeing the option for "drifting" as a driving style in GT2, did a search for drifting videos on Napster(when was the last time you heard/seen that name?!)..

mind = blown

My friend with is Blue BMW 323i '98.
We have a random circle that seperates 3 roads, the highway, grocery stores and an overpass.
We wanted the highway, so, he sayed hold on tight. Downshifts, handbrake, started turning then I noticed we were sideways, shifts up, you feel it in you, then takes the road towards the highway while drifting. Get on the highway cop was parked like 100m away. we had full of smoke behind us.
Was a very fun day.
