xbox sucks
They made it into 650PP which feels too slow to drive around. No adrenaline rush at all and i just lost interest playing the game any more. Why didn't they just leave the 700pp alone and make 600pp suzuka for people who wants to go little slower? if they leave it at 650pp, i wont be playing it anymore.

Cant quit the game now; it has opened opportunities for other cars that would not have stood a chance in the old format, so as a result a wider variety of vehicles to race against. At this stage no one really knows which car is the champion vehicle so the tuning of a vehicle to make it become king has once again become interesting.........

Yep it's slower, but in some ways it requires you to be a better driver to get the most out of your car. If you slide it it sideways the engine bogs and you lose time where before you could just power-slide it. I find I need to be smoother now.

It may feel slower but because your using S2 tyres it requires alot more skill and with it being No Mercy you make one mistake and your race could be over.
We have realistic racing at last and this is how it should stay.

I have to disagree with the original poster, 650PP is a good choice, in fact I would say that this No Mercy event is probably the best online event we have had so far 👍

Totally agree with you. You got one chance to do it right, one mistake and ik could be over.
Just like in reallife racing.
Love this event, just have to find out the car and tune for it.

You can't please all the people all the time

Every sodding time they change the online races a dozen threads spring up with people asking why they've changed their favourite race, and yet all people seem to do the rest of the time is ask when they're going to change the races again and why they don't bring back x race instead of y race.

If the OP isn't playing anymore just because they changed a race, then for me at least it's no great loss.

That is a insensitive remark by you. We need more people playing GTP5 not less. Also Suzuka 700 was my favorite but I can get used to the 650.They need to add more races without taking races away if thats possible,I used to play daytona intermediate and they took that away so polyphony keeps pissing players off by taking away favorite tracks and soon people will start playing other games (there is alot of killer games coming out now)and gtp5's fan base is going to disolve and there seems to be less people online now.

PD is doing what they can to try and please everybody ( I think ) , lately it has been a lot of higher pp events ,which was cool for a while , and then it just turned into the same old cars , tuned Vipers,Vettes,GTLM's,S2K's , and judging by what forum members are posting here, they are looking for the mid range and lower pp events as to be able to utilize all the cars in the game , just for a change of pace , and to me , there is nothing wrong with this.

The problem with adding more races and keeping races we have is that it will really thin out the on-line racers , there will be too many choices and people will be scattering out all over these events , then you will see races of 5-10 players ? Boring!!! We need full fields of racers to keep things on the up and up and to keep people interested, Would you rather race against 5-6-7 people or a field of 12-16 , hmmmmmm , I think we all know the answer to this one .

Now your thinking 12-16 players , you have a better chance of getting the boot in the ass by some doofus and you won't win ( you don't win every time you turn in a good set of laps do you ? so what is the difference), gee , become a better racer and usually you can outdrive them ( there's a thought ) , it will only make you better .

If someone's daft enough to give up a whole game just because their favourite race has been removed from one wave of online events, then it's their loss, not ours. The events constantly change - sometimes you get bad ones, sometimes good. It's the luck of the draw. You mention PD "taking away favourite tracks" - there are only a handful of tracks on the game, they'll be back eventually.

Sometimes they release events I'm not keen on, but I'm not petty enough that I give up playing if a race I enjoyed disappears.

I haven't played the game for a few weeks but I'm delighted expert is now what it should have always been, and thats tyre restrictions.I hated the races were it's obvious that people used R3's it may as well of been arcade mode.

I haven't tried the American race with N3's (joy) but cant wait to give it spin.

I was one of the guys who lamented the loss of the golden oldie, the Suzuka 600PP. I'm not a fan of super-high powered cars around Suzuka, there's so little opportunity to utilize a 750PP car and there's only a handful of cars that can geniunely be competitive at that level, so you end up with a field with 2 or 3 cars in it.

Change is good, it keeps the racing fresh and keeps us on our toes. The OP had evidently found the perfect setup using the perfect car and was winning day-in day-out and he seems a little peeved that his slate has now been wiped clean and he has to start all over again.

:(

I have to disagree, now I am competitive with the Subaru, I can beat the Tuned Clios at last. With 650 PP there are more competitive cars than 700 PP, that was like a one make race of Tuned clios.

Since they changed the pp calculations many times ( to the good imo ) , I would like to see more races where the TVRs, Skylines etc. are more competitive... long time ago there was such a event, never again though. :(

PS: I want more No Mercy matches , RBE is just plain boring...

Yes I also want no RBE in STD physics

Really, I thought that's exactly where it actually makes some sense ?

Ok I usually don't play STD, because I can't bear the change in physics...:scared:

I'm glad to race without RBE only because the car now handles consistantly regardless of where you are in the field. The racing certainly isn't as close now as it has been, though I have found the occasional good battle.
