What happened to granturismox.net?

Had quite a few friends over at granturismox.net, but the site went down late last year. Just tried to go back to catch up and it appears to be gone. Anyone have any idea as to what's going on or what happened? Hate losing friends!!!
 
My guess is the site owner just decided to pack it in. maybe financial reasons, I don't know but that's usually the reason. Either that or sony asked his to remove it because it tecnically could be seen as being called GranTurismo10.net, Sony have taken down other sites with Gran Turismo in their names.

I ate them! Muhahaha! :dopey: just kidding, live4speed is probably right.
 
They had problems with their virtual hosting service.

They prepared to host www.granturismox.net on their own machine.

Even had the machine working for a few days.

But could not iron out the last few details of DNS.

Real life problems interrupted.

Currently granturismox.net is parked, but not fully resolving, and therefore effectively down.

The owners have not declared that they will never bring it back.

In fact, as far as I can tell, some people have said that the owners have said that they will bring it back. Eventually.
 
Most of the main regulars from granturismox.net can be found hanging out at thegreentavern.com so if you're looking for someone, you might find them there.
