So, why won't you tell us? Let me guess: you have no legal permission from Sony to do it yet? And if you do you go to jail?

There is always someone leaking info. So if Sony told anyone than there would be at least someone that cant keep his mouth shut.
At the moment i think PD has no idea when they are gonna release it themself.

And it seems like GT5 aint even near finished yet. Recently PD visited the Top Gear test track. And i dont think this was just to say hello. No they probably mapped the track and took pictures and stuff like they do with all the tracks. Considering that they only did this about 2 months ago, it seems like there is still a lot of work to do.
Also during the E3 trailer everything seems to be ingame except the damage Impreza part. This suggest that they dont have the damage working ingame yet.
So if they are still mapping tacks and all of the damage still has to be implemented i guess it will take at least another year.

Just believe what you wanna believe but i have more thrust in this kind of fact than in some people pretending that they got informed by some "unknown source".

Either way, GT will probably be release just before Christmas, but not in the year 2009 as it seems for now.

Forza is not even worth it, I mean, you can only race 7 other cars. It doesn't matter how good the online community is if you can only race 7 other guys. Don't waste your money.

Well at least you can play it before the next millenium.

The release date that I know is still solid, though obviously it doesn't look like any "official" date is going to be announced at GamesCom. It will be interesting to see what people find at the Gran Turismo booth, though.

So is this date a worldwide one?

TGS would maybe signify a December release for Japan only as it doesn't matter if you release a game over Christmas.

I can't see a late December release for EU/US so maybe February or a December 1st that is quite short for marketing.

Anyways, I maybe inclined to import if its 2months before EU release, definitely 3 months. If its a one month delay that would be annoying lol.

My gut feeling is it'll be ready for shipping in march for all but I hope I'm wrong.

At no point did Sony/PD say "GT5 will be mentioned at GamesCom". They haven't let anyone down because they fulfilled their promise. If you got all hyped up because you thought something was going to happen, the only person to blame is... you!

I was never promised, and by being failed Im referring to the updates. I only wanted a ps3 because of GT and I have EXPECTED some news about it for a long time. And still nothing. Im sorry but I can't help feeling let down at the moment.

If Sony have done nothing to fuel your expectations - and I can't see anywhere they've been promising GT or news on it - then it's not their fault you're feeling let down. It's yours.


Look at it this way. If I say I'll give you £10 and I don't, it's my fault you're unhappy. If you think I'll give you £10 despite me not saying I will and then I don't, it's your fault you're unhappy.
