What happened to the 8MP export of photos?

I take the shot in 16:9 because the rest look ridiculously bad. Even after this when I export the photos they are tiny, about the same size as being posted here.
Before GT5 was released I remember reading you will be able to export 8MP photos, at the moment All I can find is very low facebook style export.

Strange, when i do 16:9 my photos are always 1920x1080 resolution when i've loaded them on my PC.

Are you sure your not zoomed out or anything that your overlooking?

Dunno if this helps but in Photo Travel you can save the photo 2x the size of 1080p. 1080p is about 2megapixels, so a photo 2times bigger both ways will give a 8megapixel image. I've exported images 3840x2160 in size.
