I think the problem is that everyone read something translated from a Japanese site and assumed that "everyone" meant "everyone in the world" and not "everyone in Japan."

It's a misquote. It was a Japanese person talking to a Japanese magazine while referring to Japanese owners of GT5. Simple as that.

The U.S. did get the GT Academy. And technically the U.S. is considered the west.

We did get something. We got the nurburgring 4hr track as well as the 24hr layout unlocked in arcade mode without needing to do the AMG special events.

Do not try and download the cars... That's impossible. Instead only try and realize the truth. "what truth.". There is no cars.

Yeah, I'm seeing multiple AUP issues with this thread. There's a few of you who are going to be on the receiving end of a warning or an infraction from me in the very immediate future. You were never actually promised the cars in question; the article on the main page makes it quite clear that they are Japan-only. For those of you in America, you should note that you have the GT Academy, which the rest of the world does not. Demanding access to content you were never promised when you already have exclusive content of your own is akin to throwing your toys out of your collective prams, and does not endear you to me in the silghtest. Unfortunately, I cannot issue warnings and infractions for being spoiled brats, but what I can do is close this thread so the toxicity does not infect the rest of the forums.
