What have we learned from the A.R.C. ??? #1. Having NOT played a lot of "Arcade Rallye", I assumed that all the Arcade Rallye Rides were created equal. Just thought that PD would make them all the same so whichever ride you chose for "Two Player" both drivers would be evenly matched. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Even with my aged & decrepit reflexes I can feel subtle differences in the cars, (Not counting the Xsara of course which is VERY Different.)
#2. Have really learned the value of not "Drifting" except when ABSOLUTELY neccessary, which directly ties in with lesson:
#3. MAINTAIN MOMENTUM at all costs!!! With the exception of the Delta, IMO none of these rides has enough grunt to pull you back up to speed after "over braking" or "over drifting."
#4. Although I'm still running near the tail end of the pack, chasing you guys (& lotus350) has made me a better "Rallyer." 👍

I assume you are using the generic "Jack" rather than referring to a specific "Jack" (me)
I've been distracted a lot these last 5 weeks, but not enough to make me a poor rallier.
Actually, for week 5, I barely spent any time on the race, and was all ready to submit a time of 2'45.759 (I even typed the PM to Mr P but never sent it), which would have put me in 7th place -- but on the last night before the deadline, I felt that I really hadn't done well enough, so went out and shaved another 1.090 seconds off my time, good enough for 2nd.
Now I know the j stands for Jack. What a coincidence. LOL
Yeah, it was generic, mainly refering to myself but I know that several others have run into some R/L distractions also. So applicable where ever it fit.
If it was not for the wheel i bought i think that i would of sacked a.r.c off :n:
So all i can say really is that i've not learn't much my wheel made me learn that it was far easy to do
But overall i like the stratigy and stamina that goes in to this comp:tup:and it being well managed:tup::tup:ron+kel
I've learnt that preparing for the ARC by getting all golds on my Rally licence is not the worst preparation you can come up with if you're totally alien to rallying And this Arcade rallying is quite relaxing on some combos too. 8) It's also the only GT3 racing that I'm comfortable with driving with music in the background.
Oh and that Mr.P is a pretty fierce rally driver ...
I learned to turn the vibration function on the DS2 OFF.
I already knew I was slow.
I am transferring what I've learned to the tarmac, and getting a little faster there.
I've learned from the A.R.C ...... that making the results tables and adding up all the totals and updating all the threads including the reference garage , and dealing with late submissions and having to redo it ! .... can be hard bloody work
.... also that there are some great ralliers out there
I'm glad you guys who have gone the distance so far are getting the feel for rally and look forward to some of the same in the future 👍

What I've learned from the ARC is that on my fastest lap for round six I should have never let go of the throttle because I thought I was already over the finish line, but in fact i still had a couple of meters left.
