I bought the dlc cars knowing what cars they are. I bought it on release after looking for specs but could not find any. I thought screw it and buy them. Knowing that the dlc cars would not have been a big problem to me if most of the cars would have been in the same class. They are not.

What I really miss is premium race cars in the same class. Al we really have now is super Gt and NASCAR. I know that they can't have some classes in the game because they don't have the license to the series.

Why not create an own class of let's say six cars. Premium cars that have the same specs as let's say the RM Corvette? Pp is fun and all but to me it doesn't create the feeling you get when doing a Gt500 race. Different cars but very equal in bhp, weight and aerodynamics. Pp creates races with low hp light weight cars vs high HP heavy cars. I'm not a fan of that.

Agreed, and I guess it does incorporate more strategy in PP races, like finding a balance between HP and weight. They should just release a pack of same "series" cars that we could all use for online races like.... maybe BTCC? or some other racing class. Not too familiar with racing series around the world. Formula bMW or some open wheel class could be kinda cool

Yeah I hoped all the DLC touring cars would be similar in specs :(

The race I just had proves my point. I qualify in second place on spa behind a RM zr1. The race had a 600 pp limit and I drove a Gt500 sc430. The field had some other sgt cars and the vette and they was oke with me.

The thing that was not ok with me were the awd street cars behind me on the grid. Can you guess what happens? The cars have massive power and awd and get in first place by the first corner to find out the the high powered beast can't take a corner that well.

Now I'm in 2nd place and a galardo in 1st. I try to follow but can't Keep up. No worries, next up: eau rouge(sp?)! He has to lift and brake almost going wide but he manages to Keep it on the track and avoids getting penalized. I go full throttle and manage to get passed him and gain a few car lenghts on him.

Not rid of him yet! I quickly see him comming in closer and I have to let him pass because he is so much quicker on the straight. He is in first again but I know that I will get him at the next corner and I did! A lot of corners now and he has no chance to catch up and I end up winning.

The guy that qualified in first place Got rammed of in the first corner wich is a shame because we were very close in qualification and it would've been a close race:(. Winning is nice but I wanted to have a close race and the pp system won't allow it unless the cars are in the same class.

That's why the PP system should be used for guidance... not a class structure. ;)

You must race with cars of similar styles as well as PP. Get some mates together, or join a community etc, and test some cars out. You'll then find some good cars that will work as a class structure, and therefore better racing as a result.

True but would be better if we had more cars in the same class. That's why I stick to Gt500 cars and am always looking for Gt500 lobbies. Dtm has some cars but most of them are from different years.

Yes, it would be better for sure. But, they aren't there, so the best thing to do other than moaning about it is to test cars out, tune them etc to make them into classes. My events team at my community have done this with the RM cars, and they've created a great series out of them. 👍 Just takes some effort and time that's all.

Mk2 Golf Lover

Must Say that the Mk1 Is A million times better

I get your point but the thing is that the RM cars are to different imo. That's why I used the super Gt as an example.
I'd rather had cars to compete with the RM Corvette than the prius or another X2010
