What i reset

Everytime i see people on gtplanet talking about 'trading after the reset', what does that mean, and does it hold any advantages?

The reset is the time where you can trade again which is GMT + 0

Because of 1.07, right? Or was that already before that?

you have always been able to trade 1 car or gift ticket per trade day. The only difference now is you can only do it once per console, not account. ie if i had 2 accounts i could make 2 car or ticket trades in one trade day as long as they were from each account. Now you can only make the one trade no matter how many accounts you have.

Isnt that annoying if you have a brother and father who play the game, and all want to trade with their own friends/colleges?

yip it sure is and the only way around that is buy another machine. sorry but thats the way it is. There are many thing f@$ked up at the moment, but im picking an update will be out on the 3rd. Seasonals will be due and the tradeing cap will change so who knows.

FYI you can only trade 5 paints and 5 items per trade day per console. Before it was 5 per account

I thought this one trade a day per console was managed by IP? Thus meaning that even if you had two PS3's they'd still class under the same IP

I cant speak from experience but i did read here on that someone brought his fatty out of the cupboard and could trade so it wasn't related to IP. That being said there is so much confusion at the moment who knows

Well I don't know if it would work the same ways a lan party would ... A LAN party through a router (that doubles as a switch) can keep all the information in the switch, so maybe you could do trading the same way without hitting any limits?

I said on another thread I was thinking about bringing out my spare fatty to test this.

Another bloke said it was definitely tied to the PS3's ID Number, so I didn't bother testing it because it would mean updating from v1.00. I'll have to try and get the gumption to do it

Reset is when the 1 car a day limit goes to the next day making it possible to trade again
